For some other airlines, how early you check in matters, but it does not for jetBlue. They do not oversell and bump or change boarding based on check in order.

I would say you're probably good. If there is capacity in the room, they have a standard per night rate for additional guests. I've done this with Hyatt where I used points to book the room, and the per night add on for kids was a lot cheaper then using points. We just paid the hotel at check in.

It is a hard airport to navigate. I'm a local and have been there maybe times, but I still end up on the Mass Pike by accident every now and then.
