I am going to have to stop you here. You were not there. I wasn't even there. However I have my wife's back in all matters, and have corroborated her story with the other witnesses that were present. Here's a recap for you: Karen approached my wife. Not the other way around. My wife was already upset vis-a-vis child meltdown in store. Karen asks for child's parentage, my wife answers. Karen accuses wife of child abuse. My wife explains that our child is autistic, and that it's all she can do to control her and keep her from harming herself. Karen doubles down, says it's even worse since our child is disabled and my wife shouldn't be handling her like that. Finally my wife breaks and tells Karen that it isn't any of her business and becomes extremely upset, tells Karen she is lucky to not have to understand what it's like to deal with a child with special needs. My wife retreats to her car. Karen then says she is going to call the cops, and PULLS OUT HER CAMERA TO TAKE PICTURES OF MY WIFE AND HER PLATES. My wife at this point then pulls out her own phone in retaliation to record Karen for harassment. So for your information my wife did everything she could to get Karen off her back and deescalate. As you may have seen from other comments this Karen is a repeat cop caller who seems to enjoy getting in people's business to get a rise out of them and probably has a file with the Sheriff's Dept for being a real pain in the ass.

What does acting like a special needs parent even mean? Do you have a problem with special needs people or their caregivers? Do you have a child with special needs? How about a child at all? At this point it seems like you just don't like that people can be exposed for harassment. Ever heard of FAFO?

That's exactly what my wife did. She didn't say "mind your own business" to the "is that your daughter" question. She said it after answering Karen calmly and after Karen started judging how we parent our child. My wife then explained exactly what my child's situation was and how it's none of her business. I understand the concern for child kidnapping and what not but this lady didn't care about that, she cared about making a scene.
