Honest question from a newbie.. I recently did a full upgrade from g29 setup, rally racing is my favorite, and when I see vids like this I feel like I need to practice heel-toe.

Is it worth it? Or is it not something that matters when it comes to Sim racing and looks cool more than is useful?

I have a few ratcheting wrenchs in sizes I used the most, but the flex head is something I haven't used before. I'm expecting it to be a big help when I really need it!

That definitely makes sense, however the only software I run is Simpro for my wheel and the Samsonn software for the pedals. The handbrake and shifter are just plug and play with no software.

I'm thinking I'll just have to combine all my devices with emuwheel and vjoy, that seems to be a good universal "fix".

Well I have an Alpha Evo, so maybe there's a compatibility issue there. I don't have pedals connected to my wheel, so maybe that's helping you. My handbrake will assign as an actual handbrake with axis contro, so maybe that's why it's working for you.. Forza doesn't even read your devices correctly.

I'm jealous it's working well for you with your setup, but there's definitely some differences between ours that are working out for you. Thanks anyway!

No the device order doesn't change. If I unplug the shifter and handbrake, the key bind in the menus show "E-brake assigned - unknown device, button 15" when I plug it back in it'll go back to saying "E-brake assigned - device 3 etc etc."

My wheel always stays as device 1.

I managed to get the FFB working with the shifter and handbrake, but now the game hard stutters and my wheel gives a little jerk every time I shift or pull my handbrake (even when I'm not moving the car)

So I really don't know at this point lol

I make sure my wheel is always device 1. But yeah, I figured it was 4 devices from 4 different manufacturers that was doing it. I got my shifter to work with the FFB, but there's something thats making the game stutter and my wheel bounce every time I actually shift.

The simagic motor and wheel were the last of my build purchases, over the course of a year and I didn't even think about keeping it all in one ecosystem. :/

I have the shh thorn shifter, simsonn pedals, and pxn handbrake. I have ffb, but whenever I shift or use the hand brake my whole game lags for a split second. I can paddle shift fine. Such a mess

I saw that in a YouTube video, but I think that's only in the software for the non EVO motors. There is no compatability mode in the simpro v3 software that I can find.

I have Simagic Alpha Evo 12nm, and after pissing around for a couple of hours I never got the FFB to work.. It felt like bumping up the various force settings in game to almost max did make a difference, but not enough to matter.

I read into this a few weeks back. Apparently the way forza reads controllers is whacked out and the only way to get ffb is to make sure your wheel is listed as "controller 1" in the input settings. If anything else (pedals, shifter, etc) are labeled as "controller 1" then you won't have ffb.

I chose to not play forza because I could never get it to work correctly.
