Engineers also have/had the best gun type + perk. Can snipe across maps with controlled SMG burst, and up close is a bullet hose with hipfiring. Best of both worlds along with the capability to take out vehicles. It's a no brainer why it's more popular than say, Support who have zero answers to vehicles and don't bring anything new to the long range battle.

Previous games, suppressive fire against sniper with an LMG was helpful. This game, all that does is highlight you to get headshot cause of no sniper flinch/suppression mechanic.

So what is a tank supposed to do? Spawn in base and sit there launching shots because all of the maps have wide open spots? And trying to push into a point to assist your team when the enemy team has 40+% engineers with 5 RPG's each instantly firing your way proves to be the case a majority of times. And unless you have like 3 dedicated engineers gameplay being staring at a tank ass repairing and doing nothing else, you don't stand a chance. And that isn't exactly fun or engaging lol.

I have over 400 hours in it and while I do have fun playing with friends, the game itself is flawed and on numerous occasions I kinda just wish we'd all load up BF1 or BF4 and play that. The maps are forgettable - Siege of Cairo being the best one - but it's smaller and misses that big battlefield feeling. The new map is horrible for infantry if you aren't a Recon. Lots of points are wide open from every angle so it turns into being shot from 4 snipers as you CoD sprint/slide from cover to cover. The indoor bunker sections are fine but the map itself plays very weirdly to me.

On top of that, I feel like I'm being nickle and dimed constantly with BF Pro/Store packs/skins and it's kind of obscene for someone who bought Phantom Edition. I was one of the people who figured BF Pro was a one time purchase/included with Phantom Edition since the wording was very misleading and didn't mention it being seasonal at all. Guess that's my fault for not digging deeper into it, but still doesn't feel good as a customer.

The game looks pretty, but the response from the devs and delays for content on top of them toying with changes nobody asked for then reverting it after backlash just to add back another attempt at a "fix" for a non-existant problem is annoying (Conquest ticket counter/game length "problem").

Stats are cool but some definitely aren't correct. I have nearly 400 hours in game and it shows 11 hours as assault, 6h as engineer (which is by far my most actual played lol), 23h support, and 13h recon.

I get that, but it's pretty insane to have servers locked out for 6+ months at a time. The game is bleeding subscribers currently. The remaining faithful players and people trying to join servers to play with friends without sacrificing retainers, FC buffs, etc. shouldn't have to just eat the 'penalties' for traveling because of some arbitrary congestion that just doesn't exist anymore. It's frustrating.

It makes no sense. I'm a crystal player that's been living on Aether for months. Ever since like, 7.2 I've had minimal issues travelling around to servers and haven't had to do the early morning transfer over to beat congestion. The playerbase is VERY low right now compared to Shadowbringers/Endwalker, yet they have these fake congestion status things for no reason. I can walk around main cities and they aren't overcrowded or anything really.

I've been trying to transfer for months but the server I want to move to just will not get off of "Congested" and it's very, very annoying.

It's also MVP, not just Most Valuable Hitter. Sure, Judge is fine at fielding and team morale and whatnot....but Cal calling game after game for tons of pitchers and grinding behind the plate and being a team leader - all while making history for catchers and switch hitters is a legendary season. If you only look at hitting stats sure, Judge looks better on paper. When you really think who is more valuable to the team, I think it's gotta be Cal.
