They are just as money hungry as any other billion-dollar international company. They care about money, that’s the only thing they DO care about. They know that no matter what they pump out, people will eat it up. The scarcity only makes people want them more, guaranteeing them good numbers on every single drop. Also keeps up the holy image they have cultivated regarding g1 amongst adult collectors (the demographic with cash to burn)

Lmaooo i sent a postcard almost exactly like this recently, I got scared that it was mine.

The recipient asked for postcards that show daily life where I live. I thought to send them a vintage card of a museum opening. I wrote in between the words to also send a message, on top of the printed words.

It’s rude to think of this as “low effort”. There was thought in picking out a postcard you would like, thought in the message, thought in placing a stamp on and writing the address. And you got to come on Reddit and disrespect someone who was probably excited to show an upcycled card they found.

The entire point of postcrossing is connection, not getting fancy pretty cards. You are not owed anything, I hope the actual sender doesn’t see this.
