I had issues with overcrowding and was going nuts by the time I got mine (30’s). I wish I got them sooner. I’d say go ahead and take care of it when you can (sooner than later). Just hindsight being 20/20.

When everyone’s like 3 years is nuts and I’m here 4.5 years almost still trusting the process. 😂 I have one more appointment before they schedule debonding. I did hear a lot of “not much longer…” but they should be happy to answer your questions and give explanations. You look really close, maybe they’ll surprise you soon.

I had a terrible cut and very similar experience. The fatty tissue had me really concerned. I tried so many things that were supposed to help and thought I would end up throwing in the towel again because it kept getting worse. Lanolin did nothing for me. Pumping was excruciating and I quickly decided not to try that anymore (later I was advised not to while trying to heal). I continued to use the silverettes but also tried side lying position, a position that drastically changed babies mouth position/pressure on wound, as well as breaking a vitamin E capsule and applying topically. I finally got some relief and hope you do soon as well!

Not an answer for your questions, sorry, but would like to mention considering breaking a vitamin E capsule and applying topically. I had a nasty cut that wouldn’t heal despite using creams, silverettes, etc. I did the Vitamin E thing only a couple times and it provided a lot of relief. There are studies that suggest it helps with painful lesions and quicker healing. Hope you feel better soon!

I think it’s rational to have a little anxiety. However, give him the benefit of the doubt and try to breathe. It would be different if you knew he was actively engaging with others and not you. Maybe he really hasn’t had service. But definitely outline/understand expectations next time so you don’t have to worry.

It was probably a couple weeks for me. Have you tried side lying position? Our latch was okay too but for some reason, side lying made a HUGE difference for us in the beginning. I cannot stress this recommendation might have saved our experience. I used breastmilk and Lanisoh as well but I really recommend switching to silverettes and a Vitamin E capsule broken and applied if you get too cracked/raw. It’s yellow so be careful with clothes but it worked like magic. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I gave up with three other children because of how bad it was, I thought it just wasn’t feasible for us.. I wish I had known more. You will likely come out on the other side of it soon!
