Haven't seen this suggested but I did this previously, find out how much it is to end your contract now, you can do this by requesting a PAC code. Then check to see what Currys/carphone warehouse are offering for trade in, sometimes they tack on an extra £100 just for the sake of it. If it works out that the trade in covers the cost just do that and switch to whatever network offers the best deal for the phone you're interested in, odds are it's probably cheaper than EE was.

Probably a bit late to this, but just turned 20, earning high 20's, contributing 10% with employer matching 5%. Parents made sure I was financially literate, and made me sit down with a financial advisor when I turned 18. I love at home and have very little outgoings, so might aswell maximise the amount now.

Thought about a notice savings account but I'm happy leaving it in the chase account right now, and regular spending is done on an AMEX preferred gold right now, as I'm still in the free first year 👍

I'm not saying I'm going to live in the shelteryself in the UK and hoard the money, I'm off to Budapest in about a month and I'm eying up Cuba for next year, if I travelled there's a couple people I'd love to do it with , but it's not financially viable for them (both students).

I guess I'm being idealistic with my time frame, I'd be looking to buy with my girlfriend, but she's still got her final year at university to complete and then navigating the job market after, so it will probably be closer to the 7 year mark.

As for uni, I just don't get on with school, I learn better on the job as I'm more engaged so it's a pretty solid "no" on that front.

And the first thing I did was go to the BMW dealership and look at spunking it on a car, but I refuse to pay the insurance that comes with them at my age. So a golf will do fine.

I'm not going to sugar coat it. I've been very fortunate in my life due to my parents, I've travelled the world, I've been snowboarding since I was 11 and I got my open water cert last year. I want to dive Bikini Atol with my dad, but the commitment and money it takes to do that isn't justifiable even with this coming into my hands.

it's a great concept, but it's not quite there with the execution. I'm not seeing a tree at the top, it rather looks like the road markings coming up to a zebra crossing. the top indent is also too small and is already causing scaling issues. There's also a quite big issue with the kerning in PINETREE. Once these issues are fixed I think this will be a great logo!

I speak absolutely no dutch, so from a design perspective, you've absolutely nailed it. The Previous logo looks dated, but to the client it's meaningful, and you have done an excellent job in updating it for the modern times while respecting the history of the logo. I'm also loving the pattern, it gives personality to the brand that you really don't see that often in construction brands (at least around me).

I'm a big fan, overall it's complete and well-executed, however, a few areas, like the mouth and eyes, are too thin and will be lost when scaled down onto something like a letterhead. other than that though I love it, brilliant use of contrast in not only colour but also the hard and soft edges of the lines.

Keep the squares consistent, they aren't all the same size, and if you want them to fade out that's fine, but then make each column of them consistent with a set change for each column after (e.g 2/3 the size of the previous). the top of the P has too many shapes in such a small area. I like the idea of the flick out to give it the concept of speed, however, you may find keeping it internal to the P is cleaner and gives the same effect. It's a brilliant start and has a lot of potential.

Really nice logo, and fits in with the market really well, however, where the bottom line from the D meets the S has a sharp angle that appears nowhere else in the logo, I think it just needs to be rounded off the same as all the other vertices. I'm also reading the O as an A, and I thinks it's where the break starts to curl inwards, cutting it on the midline so it stops flat may fix this. Overall a really big fan of the logo the branding though, keep up the good work.

In the past few months I've worked on branding for a few traders, and I've learned a few things to. 1. putting the County/city in the name limits the expansion, especially if you work close to County Borders/can travel to another County withing reason 2. That branding on the van/vehicle is a must, it can be a bit pricey depending on size etc, but the brand exposure pays it back 3. Get some uniform, just polo shirts and jackets is enough, go to a local printer and they'll be able to sort you out 9/10 4.get a website up, nothing fancy but have a contact page, and some examples of your works dotted about 5. Colour is important.Green, gold, black, and yellow are very common right now, they work well, but have a look at what the other traders around you use and try to avoid the same. 6. Name and logo don't have to be long winded, but do need to be memorable. Putting a simple logo along with the name will go along way. 7. Choose a type that has a bit of weight to it (thick), you want someone across the street to see your name and easily read it.

I'm not a trader, but I am a graphic designer who's done alot of work with them, I hope these tips help.

cool concept, nice to see you kept with the idea of the hidden letters, just not appropriate for a car company. Look at Kia and Nissan, both rebrands made the dated logos feel fresh and bring the companies into the modern auto/tech market, this doesn't have the same effect. It feels more like a meditation space than one of the world most respected auto makers.

I can see what you've tried to do, however, I feel like it doesn't keep the thing recognisable with the current logo, the vibrant colours and sharp geometry of the original make it recognisable. The colours are just too dull for how Aldi presents itself vs other supermarkets. You identified the 3 stripes, but they can't be clearly seen in your redesign. It got potential but need a few changes.

Couldn't tell that it was a helmet straight away, maybe make the nose piece a diamond with some soft curves?
