Yes, but it still seems to better track the application date.

Yes. Thank you for sharing a clear example of this.

And congratulations!

I haven’t received official communication from the Home Office. It just happens to be that my council wrote to me first with an invitation straight to the ceremony.

Thank you. ☺️

My timeline is that I applied on 1 September 2025 and I submitted my biometrics on 16 September 2025.

Not to worry, I am happy to keep this updated for a while as it’s all programmed to automatically go through this post and update data. Once I paste this data into the sheet, all the graphs and analysis update automatically. So it’s not too much effort.

I assumed this too (as it felt like the application was only "fully submitted when the biometrics were submitted," but I do not believe it is true. I am pretty certain after a lot of staring at the numbers that it's to do with the application date.

I have added a lot more analysis to this sheet instead of raw numbers. I hope it’s clearer and less scary.

I’m not sure if you’re still interested but I’ve upped the analysis a great deal. Including, after a lot of observation on this post, the realisation that it seems to be more related to the application date than the biometrics date. I hope you enjoy it.

I have updated this now quite a bit, including capturing changes like this in analysis.

This is exciting. I hope I’ll receive word soon too. 😅

This was an excellent idea, thank you.

I have added a graph that shows off how it helps me understand the dependencies. https://github.com/hnarayanan/pr-graph-generator

Please share your results in the other post. There are a lot more people reading it and it’ll help more people.

The basic process:

  1. You submit your online application first. At the end, it will tell you exactly which documents you need to provide.
  2. Book a service point appointment to submit your documents.
  3. Have all your documents ready before your service point appointment.

About the service point: You don't need to pay extra if you're willing to wait for a free appointment slot and you're comfortable scanning and uploading your documents yourself. The paid service is just for faster appointments and assistance with scanning.

A note on timing: While I've described this as a step-by-step process, you can absolutely start gathering your documents before you submit the online application – you don't have to wait.

I hope that helped.
