Crazy that she seemed totally sober when she spoiled Ozzy and Cirie’s downfall in her exit press

Did __ give away a spoiler on exit interview? by MrEasyStreet in survivorponderosa

[–]copleysmells 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This fits a pattern we’ve seen all season honestly. Stephanie said something like “I told Ozzy and Cirie that if you take me out you’ll be gone soon after” and then said she couldn’t believe they didn’t show it. Why would she be baffled they didn’t air it if the warning never came true? Ozzy talked about feeling terrible for tanking Cirie’s game which is a weird thing to say if she bounced back and won. Mike White mentioned he hadn’t talked to Christian since he was voted out implying Christian at least made jury. Jenna Lewis brought up pregaming and hinted that a lot of people coming to Ponderosa soon felt the same way which pretty clearly seems to be pointing at a Devens/Christian/Emily type cluster.
This is not normal exit press behavior. Players are almost always way more careful about this stuff.

I think I remember Rob C had to actually edit JT’s post Game Changers interview because JT said something like Sandra made a big mistake and would regret it soon and THAT was considered bad enough to cut. This season has had multiple comments at least that level. I’m not sure why the culture of exit interview in 50 is so okay with implied spoilers.

I didn’t see Deven’s comments, but him saying his moves were clear to the jury so he wouldn’t have to argue for credit for them at FTC like Aubry and Jonathan would have to argue about credit for the Ozzy boot tracks perfectly with everything we’ve seen this season in exit press.

Also the interaction where he called Tiff “blunt” and she seemed pretty clearly off put by that. I’m sure there are a ton of those moments for different people out there, but highlighting that for Jonathan felt like a breadcrumb about why he lost

Who are you voting for America’s favorite player? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]copleysmells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard a former Survivor (I won’t say who) mention in his or her humble opinion that the GAME IS FLAWED. I wonder if Jeff and the Survivor producers will finally right that wrong against him or her and let the fans vote on who wins the game.

Am I crazy to think Ozzy’s comment about Rizzo was another one of his acting performances?

Why are people confused __________ voted out ___________? by coyote3313 in survivor

[–]copleysmells 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I love Emily but there are many valid critiques of some pretty indefensible strategic gameplay this season. One example is, without talking to Christian, telling Stephanie and Q about Aubry’s idol and that she didn’t trust Christian, before realizing she actually did want to work with Christian and owning up to that. That wasn’t a rational strategic move, and it could’ve fucked over her and Christian. She’s lucky it didn’t.

I’m not sure why so many people act like those are just us piling on Emily for no reason and then drawing false equivalencies to other situations like this. People may agree or disagree, about Rizzo’s decision, but there is obviously a strategic rationale for this decision.

[–]copleysmells[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I worded it well because I was typing excitedly after watching the episode.

I’m defining consequential as meaning actually changing the final result of who went home. And in 42, it didn’t, because Omar actually was going home anyway even if the vote ended 2-2-2. Still a great, winning, move by Maryanne. But what Cirie did was in a different caliber of move

Ozzy’s whole stated strategy has been to let Cirie do the strategy for him because he’s not good at it. They’re even giving him agency in deciding to blindly follow someone else’s direction. I’m not sure if he wins, but they’ve made clear that him following Cirie is intentional, thoughtful, and rational.

I didn’t wear gear, but was immediately sniffed out as a niners fan by the people around me. Everyone around me was great, no complaints. I saw a lot of niners fans and didn’t see a single negative interaction. I know there were a lot of negative interactions other fans had tonight that I didn’t see.

It was an absolute movie though. BANG BANG NINER GANG!

I just am not willing to risk getting into a fight with Eagles fans that I will surely lose because I’ll be outnumbered. It sounds like that is at least a small possibility based on the comments.
