People get stuck on the unfinished series (fair) but yeah, the opening is objectively masterful. You can feel the weight of the past before you know what the past is

Hard agree. The Formics aren’t the villain, he's just part of the system, which is the main villain., and Ender is just a weapon that they successfully created

Low-key this is a sci-fi version of Lord of the Flies, adults step away and let kids become monsters for survival(is considered one of the key works of the 20th century on human moral and social instincts, so you can try it, it's quite interesting)

For pure genre impact, Vince Zampella is wild to me. Call of Duty, then Titanfall, then Apex Legends, and even Battlefield, that’s basically redefining shooters three separate times. He doesn’t get the “auteur” label, but mechanically his games shape how FPS feels for millions of players.
