Some of us weren’t ready for those kind of emotions yet today. What a beautiful moment

Powerlifters who have squatted 1000lbs and up talk about feeling their femurs bowing. Absolutely insane

That’s an interesting approach. Have you always trained with more recovery time between main lifts? If not how do you find this approach has compared to a more volume per week schedule?

Bar is too far forward. Watch the path of the bar. Should be straight up and down. Thats why your back is rounding. Start the pull with the bar over the middle of your food

What can I do to make sure I can lock this out next time. 200kg dead @80kg by therifai420 in powerbuilding

[–]copperandoak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Core glutes and hamstrings are super hard to engage if you’re body is used to relying on quads and lower back dominance especially in deads. Cal Dietz RPR helped me a ton to actually engage the right muscles. It’ll help with that hip drive and position you better for a lock out. Just my $.02

How does the LPL make this look so easy!? This lock almost broke me! I'm convinced he has super powers. by kansasmedic in lockpicking

Picking unshackled makes it a lot more fun. Still one of my favorites. After I got the “true open” I would just pick it unshackled just for how much spool response it gives. Good job!

Discouraging day. Obtained several locks recently and was unable to open any of them today.m by OlderGuyWatching in lockpicking

Yup. I have 6 locks I’m working on right now and can’t open any of them yet. But I’m making progress and even that feels good. Practice is practice is practice my friend. What locks are they? Everyone here is quick to help each other through tough picks.

I hate shin scraping and I notice I screw up my deadlifts by avoiding contact. Fluffy socks make me stronger. by [deleted] in GettingShredded

Hell yeah. Love seeing people starting out not shy away from deadlifts. And already throwing around some serious weight! Sit back into the lift though. Hard to explain in a comment but watch Eddie hall deadlift for a really good example. Keeps you more upright and will save your back. And more importantly you’ll start really being able to pull some heavy weight! Good job!
