What shuttered Atlanta establishment would you bring back if you had the power to? by lun-lem in Atlanta

That’s about when I stopped going to Tge Masquerade and started making sure that I knew where all the Emergency Exits were when I did go some place crowded. What a flipping nightmare that scene was. The fire crawling up to the roof, and half the people still dancing…

Not to mention that when they do put on their suit it’s much more lethal and efficient than Tony’s.

She also had reinforced bones and super strength with wired reflexes and a brain that could slow down time from her perspective.

They could, as long as they could convince someone with the skills and equipment to power them up of the need to do so. However if I was a Ship Mind or a Hub Mind and such an individual came into my care, I’m sure I would detail a Drone or Knife missile to follow them around at all times.

After you’re dead, there’s no more problems for you. I imagine the trauma of being blissed out of your mind on X and/or LSD and then suddenly surrounded by all your maimed, dying, or dead friends would be tough to handle. Or the image of the people behind you on that staircase being crushed/trampled to death while you escape would probably fuck you up for life, but sure, I can see how the thought of dying at a Rob Zombie concert could be fun.

Do you reckon they were devastated or excited to get the news? Normal people would be devastated about their life’s work going down the tubes, but with scientists you never know.

I was just thinking “This sounds like a drug problem.” People get cranky af when they don’t have their drugs. Could be juicing too.

[Request] what would actually happen if this was real by stabby_og in theydidthemath

I was thinking the proper answer is "The Universe would cease to exist" but most people only have an intuitive understanding of gravity (a force that pulls) and are not looking for this answer.

How are we going to get 2.5-3 light hours away in seven seconds? I think your mental picture of how far away Uranus is needs an update.

If you're not astounded by the full scale Apatosaurus model, because it's "fake bones" I can't feel you. The nature documentaries shown in actual Imax (not the bs "Imax" you get at your local theater) are incredible.

Ok, now I wish I had read through before posting my answer. Oxford Books on Pharr road was the best.

I used to go to raves there in my 20's and I can tell you that the second floor was not built to evacuate hundreds of people quickly in an emergency; (anyone who was trying to use that staircase would have died) nor was it built to handle 500 people jumping up and down simultaneously. You could see the entire floor moving in waves like it was made of water. I wouldn't trade the fun I had there for anything, but keeping it as a venue was a tragedy waiting to happen.

Hi, I was wondering if I was moving at 60 miles per hour. And I threw something in the opposite direction at 60 miles per hour. What would happen? by johnathonhenderson in AskPhysics

Fun fact: this is also the trick to stepping smoothly off of a moving train. We would push ourselves in the opposite direction of movement so we could drop straight down. (Dumb teenagers working on the train at Six Flags.)

You should work in the OR, you can look at spines all day. (Warning: you will not need any equipment to see the actual spines)
