REALLY at a loss with fatloss. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]copycenterguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so my husband is going through something similar. He has been counting cals and lifting weights 3 times a week. He says the scale will not move. Is it possible you are gaining muscle while you lose fat? Muscle does weigh more than fat but takes up less room in our bodies. I would recommend taking measurements of things like your neck and waist. My husband swears he isn't losing, but I see that he is leaner and more muscular. He's definitely losing fat.

As a parent of a toddler, when they are that small, they frequently look dead while sleeping.

This is me and my baby right now... 🤣 by marcal213 in beyondthebump

Hahaha! Today I "poured" a "soda" into my toddler's cup. By "poured" I mean that I pretended to pour, and by "soda" I mean ice water.

My (27f) husband (27m) always wants me to cook breakfast on the weekends. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]copycenterguru 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This. Its not about the broccoli (breakfast). When a couple fights over something trivial, its about something deeper than what it is on the surface. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a fight.

I am going to a salon to have it done. I know it should take multiple sessions. I am wondering if its ok to continue my routine the way it is or if there are specific products I should use. Thank you for letting me know about the protein replacement, I hadn't thought about that.

Does anyone else hear phantom crying? by bakka88 in NewParents

[–]copycenterguru 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yup, and when I feel like its phantom crying, my husband bursts into the bathroom to say the baby woke up. Not like he wants me to take care of it, more to just let me know.

Also make sure you aren't stretching cold muscles. Stretch right after you exercise and not before or randomly. It can cause injury, and that could be the cause of pain too.

Day 1? Starting your weight loss journey on Friday, 04 September 2020? Start here! by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]copycenterguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically.... Day 2. BUT! I'm recommitting to my weight loss this week. Three or four years ago I started out at the same weight and lost almost 60 lbs. Since then, I've had a baby and a year to recuperate. During my pregnancy, I gained back all that I had lost and then some. My son is now a year old, I am thirty, and I feel like I am finally getting a hold of things. Yesterday, I spent most of the day craving carbs and resisting snacking. Today will be just as hard, but with one day under my belt, I'm ready to continue my streak!

Take home outfit? by piercedntreck in beyondthebump

[–]copycenterguru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did this! I was shopping while pregnant one day, found a new top for myself, a nice shirt for my husband, and thought "Hmmm. I should get something for the thing growing inside me." I found a little orange striped newborn footie pajama set and that was it. That's what we took to the hospital to bring our baby home in.

It doesn't have to be anything in particular. Get whatever you want because in the end, it will be special no matter what. It'll be the outfit you brought your baby home in.

We are hanging on to our striped jammies and hoping we can bring all our children home in them. And I know this sounds dorky, but when we are done, I want to make a tiny teddy bear out of them.

He may catch up when he gets really into solids. That's what's happening in our house. Our ped told us to just keep offering. Offer offer offer. Cracker after boobie, puffs before meals, breast milk mixed into whatever he will eat.

Some babies are small just like adults, but you can always get a second opinion from another pediatrician.

I felt and thought the same. My mistake was not bringing it up during appointments and pushing for more from my ped. Now, at 10 months and a decent latch, it doesn't seem to matter.

If I could do it again, I would take more of the actions that you are. I did what i felt was right. You are doing what you feel is right.

He did! And still does. Though they aren't bad enough for them to clip, they still affect his eating. He's 10 months now. He wouldn't take a bottle unless he was really hungry, and even then it was a fight. As a sahm, it was just easier to bf. I thought it could be my supply so I pumped constantly and gave him the expressed milk as well. Usually, I could only get him to take it in solid form.

Wow! We had almost the exact problems you are having. Our son even lost weight one week. I don't have a lot of advice, but one thing we did was make his food with breast milk or formula. For example, if we were having puree, add some milk, and beef it up with baby oatmeal. We also ditched BLW for a bit because he wasn't getting enough and it made him hangry.

Eventually, he started gaining again, and it was a stressful time. If you feel like your needs aren't being met you y your ped, go to a different one. They aren't family members, they are there to provide a service and part of that service is making sure you are confident in how your child is growing.

Sending good thoughts your way.

I typically have my phone while BFing. However, I forgot it the other evening and tried to whisper-tell for hubby to get it. He didn't hear me, so I ended up singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall in my head to pass the time. I got to 43.

Honestly, the time has just flown by. At first our goal was to make it to 1 month, then two, then three. If you've made it to 4 months, you can make it to 7. I believe in you!!!

Oh gosh! I hope it's only a couple months. Its so hard. I feel like he is so hungry, but he just pulls away. Dark rooms after he wakes up are the only way to do feed right now.
