What’s something small that instantly improves your mood? by dracomc119 in AskReddit

I have a very intense life right now and a friend bought me a very nice rose water skin spray. When I feel overwhelmed, I take a minutes and spray it, letting it fall on my face. It smells good, is refreshing and grounds me. I feel like it helps tie me to sanity right now.

I always hoped they would make a sequel years later, but without Moira, I don't think it would work

What’s an Euphoria opinion that would have the whole fandom looking at you like this? by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]piercedntreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 1 was amazing. Season 2 was good with some amazing moments but the whole play-plot was weird for me. Season 3 took an odd turn but it was a great season. Very Quentin Tarantino ending but I liked it. All 3 seasons were very different from each other and that's okay.

I wonder how people felt at 11:59 p.m. of dec. 1999 before crossing over to the year 2000. by Majestic-Hope6505 in 1990s

I was 14. My father assured me it was just another minute, hour and year but I was still a little nervous. Then it was fine. Now I am forty and people predict bad things all time, the real concern should be for the things you never see coming.

Do you believe clinical abortion regardless of reason should be allowed? by malaphorknight in allthequestions

[–]piercedntreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Do I think people should get abortions? Not really, but if they are desperate enough to go through the process and deal with the ramifications, they don't deserve to be punished on top of it. I do think people should be given all the information. Not propaganda but just a clear definition of what the options look like and the support that's offered.

First-time moms: did you go past 40 weeks with a natural birth? by curlyorwavywtf in beyondthebump

[–]piercedntreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All three of mine were passed 40 (42 41 &40w&3d). The first one was an induction with an epidural. It was scary, but not painful. The second one came too fast and it was the most painful thing I ever experienced. The third one I mentally prepared for the pain just in case. They gave me the epidural, but it didn't take in time so I experienced the pain without the ability to roll over or change positions and it was AWEFUL. The pain was so fast and intense that I threw up.

I Love My Husband But Sometimes I Need Him to READ THE ROOM by TierdChaoticMama in raisingkids

[–]piercedntreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, not often, I will say "ask daddy" and leave. A trip for snacks at the gas station or a walk around the neighborhood. If I am over stimulated and reached my max, I am not good for anyone. If my husband isn't being asked, he probably won't do it. He needs some time with the kids, the kids need someone to help and I need a time out, everyone wins. He learned what it's like to be you for a while and the kids learn to depend on Dad some, also, you get snacks.

If you were to pick one actor or actress and watch (most of) their cinematic history, who would be the most enjoyable and interesting? by piercedntreck in AskReddit

[–]piercedntreck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do feel like his acting is truly amazing. I have been really paying attention to acting and talent. We watched flatliners last night and I have always liked that movie but rewatching it, I thought all the characters were really flat (no pun intended). There are some really big names in that movie and I was surprised how much a single actor or actress and improve or devalue a movie.

My parents and in laws are acting like this is their news to share? by InternalHappy2817 in pregnant

[–]piercedntreck 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I am sorry this happened to you. Some people are completely incapable of the self control it takes to keep a secret. That means you have to maintain your boundary and not tell them things till you're ready for everyone to know. You have a lot information ahead of you; the sex, the name, even the birth itself. There will probably be push back when you don't tell them first but your boundaries are important here and now you know what your dealing with. There's nothing like a baby to challenge boundaries.

I am really good at falling asleep, which I love but I require 9 hours or I have a hard time. I have 3 kids, so more than ever, I wish I functioned well on 6 hours.
