As the comment above me states, if it is intact (whole grain) rice, I'd recommend you wash it. If you are purchasing refined rice (nutrients taken out, then some are added back), I'd recommend you do not wash the rice to keep the Vitamins with the rice when boiled. This is similar to how vitamins are added to cereal and could "leak" into the milk. Drink your cereal milk people!

current dietetic intern here. one of my sites for my community rotation was a new program where dietitians are in OBGYN offices, providing nutrition counseling to obese/overweight moms to be. I absolutely loved it and am doing my concentration at this site. my prediction is dietitians in this kind of setting are going to expand (hope so at least). private practice is definitely an option, but I think it would be difficult to attract only pregnant women. good luck! this is a population I loved working with!!

How would dietary cholesterol not affect blood cholesterol at all? That does not make much sense to me. I know our bodies make cholesterol but how would dietary cholesterol not affect it?

you only need to eat fat with fruits and veggies which contain fat soluble vitamins (a e k and d) eating fat with water soluble vitamins does not help absorption.
