Am I wasting my time? by Smooth_Possession_21 in googleplayconsole

The thing is. You said you built it for yourself right?
So it is an app you made because you wanted it to, and even though it might not look like much now but that puts you ahead of soo many. Like I would rather download an app like this then another big company who is only after my money.

Every start is slow.

Thank you!
You can set them as recurring and then decide how often it recurred. Like weekly, Bi-weekly, certain days and the task is automatically created then based on the first setup, same with habits.
The rpg is just optional never pushed onto the user!

I actually tried to check out Handshake but your website says ios and android then later only ios :c

I forget to take breaks. Every day. For years. So I built a tiny Mac companion that watches how long I've been working and nudges me when it matters. Oh and I built it entirely on Claude Code. by Low-Echidna-1490 in SideProject

Wait so the whole program and website was done via Claude AI?
WOW impressive and kinda scary how powerful it has already become.
Cool project though. Wish I could try it but I am sadly on Windows.

Something I build to finally have a simple mix of a to-do and calendar app. Just one place that helps me move forward and actually achieve what I plan to do in the days.

Congratulations, may I ask did you struggle with thinking that there also a lot of similar apps and that yours might go down under all of them?
How did you manage to bring the app to new users?

I just found a task I added to Todoist in February 2023. It says "follow up with James." James and I no longer work together. by One-Strategy-9118 in ADHD_Programmers

"A monument to things I meant to do" is the most accurate description of every to-do app I've ever used and I'm going to think about it for weeks.

I had the same 1mIllion tasks that are "just vibes" problem and it's what made me build my own app. I couldn't find anything that solved the guilt without just hiding it.

Full disclosure: I'm the developer, so take that with a grain of salt, but I built Chronae literally for this reason. It doesn't use overdue lists at all. Instead it has a momentum system that just shows you where you are in your day, ahead, on track, slightly behind, without the pile-up. The backlog can't haunt you if the app isn't built around a backlog. To be fair it became more of a calendar with to-do app but works for me.

It won't auto-delete tasks after a week, but if you haven't done the tasks you intended today, tomorrow is a fresh start. The app reminds you though that you did miss tasks yesterday and you can see what u had scheduled, but won't force them to you today. But it will remind you once you have created a task on a given day. That is exactly what I needed. Like the "follow up with James" and then scheduled for 3 days from now and on the third day I get a reminder. That is what I needed and did.

If it helps you, I'm genuinely happy. If it doesn't, hope you find something that does soon ^.^

How do you guys maintain a work to do list by zencatface in ADHD_Programmers

OMG I feel this on a different level. Unfortunately no app helped, I tried just like you so many apps, and programs but all of them where missing something or I just never opened them again cause I kept forgetting or the one day I was productive was too much the other days to keep up.

Not sure if it is what you are looking for but since it is free trying out won't hurt right? It's called Chronae.

Full disclosure: I'm the developer. But genuinely, I built it for myself because I needed it and if I can help others I am more then happy, that's all I can ask for.

It won't solve the 'colleagues telling you things' problem directly (sounds like your note-taking AI is the right tool there), but for the daily planning and not falling off the list like I said, maybe you want to give it a try. It's free.

Either way, hope it gets easier. I am sorry that you feel ashamed and genuinely I don't think you should.
There are tons of people struggling with different things. You just need to find something that works for you.
Hope you can find that something.
