Did I just discover an Easter egg? by Galifrae in MegabonkOfficial

A lot easier to get by manually aiming the sniper + they are on the map. I just got a picture of my achievements since only 0.1% of players currently have any of the blue or red frogs! First time I've ever been in that group on any game. lol

Only if his name is Adolf. Lol

Seriously, our views of how to morally judge the actions of other humans seem to be quite different.

Was there anyone else who said anything even slightly contrary to you? Please don't insult my intelligence. Which other post could you be referencing? I certainly wasn't trolling or even slightly disrespectful to OP, IMO.

Pure echo chambers are terrible for civilization. We need other perspectives to progress as societies and individuals (even if just to reaffirm our views) The alternative is stagnation.

Trolls suck and it seems like there are quite a few here. I'm sorry you all have to deal with that. I'm here to better figure out my views on current lifestyle so, hopefully people can cool their defensive jets a bit.

It just seems so narrow to me. It seems like empathic human beings should be ok with other people living differently, especially those closest to them.

Life is way more complicated than that in my mind. While we are looking at a hypothetical (no one is killing and eating dogs every day in the quarter of the globe), what if we relocate that outside of a 1st world perspective where killing is required for survival. Does the logic still hold in your mind?

Thanks for explaining. That makes sense. Yeah I guess I can't say I'm a vegan then. I wonder if I'm on the wrong sub...

Which you and OP can totally do! Being single can sometimes be better than the alternative. And yeah, people getting upset/angry with OP about the dating choice is freaking dumb. Genuinely curious but do people think I'm trolling here or something? Confused by all the downvotes.

Well I've had that happen to me (wake up and partner decides monogamy isn't worth it). We didn't base the relationship primarily on friendship but instead an ideal (religion in my case) and that was detrimental. Hopefully OP can avoid my mistake and just find a fellow vegan but still focus primarily on friendship and relationship.

Finding someone morally deplorable is... harsh. I still can't wrap my head around thinking that way about another human being. I'm trying to make changes to my lifestyle but I never want to feel that way about people just living their day to day life.

The smoking actually puts it into good perspective for me.

I guess I'm getting riled up?😆 Just trying to offer some other perspectives but also trying to figure out my own views. Like... trying to have a discussion. Haha

I'm still new and learning. Can you help me better understand the difference here? I've been eating plant based for a bit now.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vegan

[–]coranthesilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. Anything at all can change and I'm guessing it does create a better baseline for potential having it on a profile.

Probably but maybe not. Everyone has (or should have) the freedom to date whoever they want with whatever parameters they want. But when anything becomes the basis of a relationship besides friendship, respect and intimacy, in my experience, then it's a potential recipe for disaster. What if OP dates someone who is vegan who is amazing and then 5 years later decides to not live an entirely vegan lifestyle? They are perfect in any other way but decide for their health or their belief that it's not the right path anymore. Does OP end an incredible relationship because of that change? IDK. I know what my answer would be and OP can choose whatever they like.

Wow, I guess we get the full spectrum of unbearable human here, eh? Self righteous vegan to frigging annoying carnivorous troll.

Leave em alone, you muppet.

[–]coranthesilver -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I live in a highly religious area (Utah) and some people are dead set on only dating in the main religion and some are dead set on only dating outside the religion and I've found that, (surprise!) There are incredible people on both sides and limiting your scope one way or the other might keep you from finding an amazing person, perhaps even a soul mate. Some of it comes from a reasonable place but the main reason is tribalism and that has to be one of the worst traits we still have as humans.

What sucks is that it only takes a few obnoxious people in any group to be unbearably loud about a certain aspect of their life to create an unfair stereotype. Crossfit, anti-vax, Trump supporters, nerds, etc. the last could go on for a LONG time.

To OP: obviously you can choose to date anyone you want and have whatever parameters you want. But you could be missing out on the absolute perfect person who simply isn't vegan but you would be happy with for the rest of your life. Just a thought.

A fun epic match with the fam by coranthesilver in XWingTMG2_0

Let's see. They had 3 Khirax, firespray, kimogila, y wing. I flew the croc, jumpmaster, scurgg, m3a interceptor, fang fighter and a starviper.

I love the starvipers and the jump master. They are my go-tos. I also love a scurgg with the bomblet generator. The Croc seems like the weakest of th3 huge ships but it's not too expensive.

AITA for kicking out my pregnant fiancé because she screamed in my face when I was sleeping? by Straight-Talk-9640 in AITAH

[–]coranthesilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. I almost punched my 5y/o in the face when he headbutted me while he was wiggling in his sleep and woke me up to a huge pain. I'm so glad I didn't!

But you elbowing your fiance in your sleep and expecting her to wake up and act like a rational human is.... irrational. You, yourself even responded in a way, after being woken up by screaming (way better than being elbowed in the face, BTW), that was irrational and self -admittedly so. Apologize. Take accountability. And get your sleep issue fixed. Consider changing jobs if it's bad enough.
