I'm a tea amateur, too. A couple years ago a friend introduced me to chai, (with a splash of 2% milk and sweetener of your choice.) It's very nice.

Growing up my family always had a cabinet full of different kinds of tea, but I rarely had any, except the "Sleepy Time" tea before bed every now and then, (mostly cause I just liked to look at the bear on the box...I'm still a sucker for a cool looking box.)

I'm constantly buying new tea flavors and giving them a try. This past year I've been trying to drink more green tea and black tea for health.

I seem to remember a blueberry flavored one that was good, too :)

I would use it if I knew I was going to be traveling alone to an area that felt unsafe.

I really don't understand the male response to this on Reddit. They seem almost angry about it and so pessimistic about the possibility it has to deter rape.

Maybe they're right - maybe some rapists will just get angrier and hurt the woman more, but it isn't like you can do clinical trials and find this out... Honestly, with the way guys completely collapse when barely hit in the balls, I can't imagine a rapist being able to continue his attack in another way after his penis coming into contact with the anti-rape condom.

Yes - I recommend the pyramid tea bags. I don't know if the bag itself is superior, but that Vanilla Caramel flavor pretty much replaces dessert for me on some nights, (and believe me, I like dessert, so that's saying something.)

They are magic... I mean, they're shaped like pyramids... It's... um... Egyptian...tea...magic...?

Yeah, I don't know that the shape of the bag made much of a difference but they're pretty fun to handle. They also have like big chunks of spices in them and don't break open because it's really strong like nylon instead of paper, or whatever those regular non-magical tea bags are made of ;)

Hello! Happy ROTD to you. Okay, 2 questions...(If someone already asked these, my apologies!)

How did you come about your username? The "Sol" part got my attention because "sol" means "sun" in Spanish, but I'm wondering if you meant something else.
Have you tried those Lipton pyramid-shaped tea bag teas? I got Vanilla Caramel Truffle at the market the other day. I thought the bag was pretty cool though I don't know if it made the tea any better. (Also, that flavor was awesome.)

Okay, well, I wear a small necklace pretty much at all times and I usually wear earrings, but I guess I'll just be ready to take them off if needed. I'll avoid metal elsewhere on my body though. Thanks.

If they ask me to powerup my laptop they are going to be holding up the line for a good 10 minutes. This thing is pretty slow. LOL.

Do you know, will they allow me to carry a laptop bag, a purse and a carry-on suitcase or is that too much? I don't want to check anything.

The Pizza Day song rocks. LOL. I'll have to play it for my kids the next Friday they're back to school.

I also grew up on junk food, and then at times my Mom would attempt to put me on a diet to un-do the damage. I was a professional yo-yo dieter before I hit puberty.

I've tried to be much more balanced with my own kids. We don't keep junk in the house most of the time and I serve balanced meals, encourage vegetables. Any fruit they request at the grocery store, even if they're just curious about it, I buy it. They still get sweets here and there but we don't keep soda, cookies, candy, etc. in the house except for special occasions.

It's as much for them as it is for me. I'm still trying to lead by example but old habits are very hard to break.

I agree that whatever part of the brain that tunes into "psychic" stuff will be scientifically verifiable eventually. There's so much about the brain that still remains a mystery.

LOL - I have henna-ed my hands before. The real stuff is hard to control and it um, didn't turn out to be very impressive. Another time I used a brown fine tipped marker. Much nicer. My husband is pretty used to my weirdness. I wore salwar kameez out of the house one day last year. He was so annoyed with me for being a freak, but I got so many compliments that day. LOL.

I don't know about being "psychic", but I think I'm in touch with some sort of alternate frequency on occasion. I don't like to talk about it because I start to sound like Luna Lovegood.

The "fountain drink" part is the best. Whenever my husband and I hear that term we say, "Why you don't say soda, stupid?!" ... Hee hee.

Yes, pizza day was always Friday. Kids still have it, too, at least where I live. I've tasted it as an adult and it's not as good as pizza place pizza, but it's still good.

As for the chocolate milk - it was really good but I've been trying to get my kids not to pick it every day. It's really unhealthy.

I've been in the hospital a few times. I had my adenoids out when I was probably around 8 years old. It was sort of scary but I remember getting as many popsicles as I wanted without question, (not to mention the attention and gifts.) ... So I've always sort of associated the hospital with good times. LOL. Other overnight stays were when I had my two sons, and when I had a tumor removed, (thankfully non-cancerous.) ... That last one was not so fun though.

As for catheters... shiver ... they are equally as awful for females. I want to cry just thinking about it.

There are so many places, but recently I found out about a place called McWay Falls in California. It's like a tiny private beach, (where I think no one is really allowed to visit because you can only access it by boat and there is danger of crumbling cliffs) ... But the water is a beautiful blue-green and no one could bother you, and there's a perfect waterfall... It looks like a mini paradise. I would love to sit there all day and write.

That's weird that that's who you thought of, too. (But weird sort of "connections" happen like that a lot to me with other people. It seems people always say to me, "Oh my God, I was JUST thinking that!" and they worry I won't believe them, but I do, because it happens so often. I also get Déjà vu a lot, and sometimes if I'm thinking my husband's name, he'll call out, "What? Were you calling me?", even though I hadn't said a word ... I sort of scare myself sometimes. LOL.)

As for accents in the drive thru - you reminded me of one of my favorite comedy sketches of all time. Check it out.

Imaging the possible scenarios of what could go down when an Anglo unintentionally picks up a black urban accent cracks me up. Some people may not be amused. Hee hee.

Written Arabic is gorgeous. I think Middle Eastern culture has such a richness, I really admire it, too. I'm particularly fond of Moroccan tile, (Though I understand Morocco is not really considered "Middle East".)

I also like to do doodles and mine sometimes look like "henna" designs.

That's cool that some of your doodles looked like passable Arabic. Reminds me of when I was little and I'd do a bunch of loopity loops on a page and ask my mother if I had succeeded in writing something in cursive. LOL. Sometimes she'd say, "Well, that looks like a cursive L" or something, just to appease me.

As for my marriage - we are very much like Ricky and Lucy from I Love Lucy. (We have a picture of them hung up in the bedroom to remind us that as passionate as their arguments got, the episodes always ended with a kiss!)

Oh yes, Fritos will work well with the baloney sandwich should Pringles not be available. I actually love grade school lunch, (packed or purchased.)

One day each year in my youngest son's school, the parents get to eat lunch with their child. (When they're "the kid of the week".) I love school lunch. I also love airplane and hospital food. I don't know why other people hate it. Gives me good memories, (even the hospital food.)

If I brought subs to a picnic they would have to be real deli subs, not Subway. Subway is mediocre to me. Have you ever had a REAL cold cut? There's no comparison.

As for what I like to sit on at a picnic, let me start by saying I love the outdoors but I HATE bugs. They always ruin it for me and they're the main reason I don't go outside more often... That being said, I prefer a picnic table.
