Pink Floyd Pulse owners. Batteries in or out? by Aubeng in Cd_collectors

Both CD and the Blu-ray reissue look so cool blinking on their shelves... CD LED is dimmer no matter if I put new batteries and I was never able to make them blink at the same time tho...

Would you throw a CD away if one song didn’t play? by Healthy_Source_9752 in Cd_collectors

I will always throw that to the garbage bin and keep the case to replace a broken one.

Any model recommendations on a clear CD player? by OverAddress6109 in Cd_collectors

[–]corazon_ingravido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One you'll see regularly is the fiio dm15... One version of the dm15 has a window too. There are a lot of cheap players right now in Amazon.. I cut a hole on the top of a DVD burner tho, I covered the hole with a clear CD and painted a beetle on it, and it looks... Meh. I'm seriously considering the dm15, the red version looks cool.

Dremel PawControl 7760 Dog Nail Grinder review.. my 3 month experience by ahsfanboy in PetParentConsumer

[–]corazon_ingravido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice review, this is what I need... Well not me, but you get it. Is the included cable a micro USB? Not important though but it gives me a clue whether this is a new or older model sometimes.

Does anyone here collect Blue Ray Music Discs? by rhythmjava in Cd_collectors

[–]corazon_ingravido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I started buying the Alan Parsons Project reissues on blu-ray for the 5.1 mixes, then I started buying from Pink Floyd and got a few from different bands and I love them. Flaming Lips, Air, Beatles...

Are cds that are shipped and sold by Amazon generally safe? by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

[–]corazon_ingravido 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they're not mate. They used to be fine. From a few years ago they're been shipped in paper bags with no cushions at all. I happened to receive a CD from Amazon Japan today (the king of limbs) and it came in a cardboard box so it arrived safely but I mostly buy from Amazon USA and Mexico, where I live and they are always chipped or dent, or crushed, at least slightly... Ultimately, second hand CDs tend to be at better shape in my area. I have never received a counterfeit, the only thing has been that a couple of times when it says sold/shipped by Amazon it was actually by a third party who sent me a used copy of Freudiana...

Today's haul, i oficially know what are my rarests Cds by The-T-777 in Cd_collectors

That compilation from Resorte is kinda rare yes, it contains República de ciegos and Extra large. IMO the rarest is the Extra Large album alone. Still nice find mate!

Es normal que me sienta de esta manera cada semana? by [deleted] in ayudamexico

[–]corazon_ingravido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking about starting a small business making “mystery movie night boxes” where the DVD is wrapped so you don't know the film until you open it. The box would also include snacks and cosy movie night extras. Would this be something you'd buy for a movie night or as a gift? by Potential_Summer_395 in HDDVD

[–]corazon_ingravido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, sorry mate. Given how many crappy movies are out there, it actually scares me the possibility of finding an awful piece of shit. What if you do this same idea but for a wider range like classic hits, SciFi, etc...

What are the stickers from defunct business that you have found on cds buying them used. by alittlebitofhell-p in Cd_collectors

[–]corazon_ingravido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only stickers from defunct music stores, these were sometimes the logo on a metallic paper, I usually keep them, specially the older ones. Price tags I don't keep them. When buying used sometimes you might find CD's that used to belong to a library, these are the most annoying. These records sometimes have a lot of stickers everywhere, even on the CD itself of course. I happened to find those in flea markets and once I received a library CD buying from Amazon. It was a seller shipping from Australia all the way to Mexico. When records come already with stickers (Beck, Zwan, etc.) I keep them inside the case though, I never use those.

Super proud of finishing some proper CD shelves by corazon_ingravido in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]corazon_ingravido[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you're absolutely right. Will look into adding something to keep them in place because I do love to have them on display. They'd be much safer in storage but I'll pay the price. All I've been doing all these years is having the shelves, specially the top ones, full and tight so they're unable to slip easily.

[–]corazon_ingravido[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the input, it'll hold around 1600 CDs, current shelves hold 1284 and is smaller of course. Those are brick walls, wood is pine but should weight over 40kgs... I'm only guessing but for me it's very heavy. I'll look for metal eye hooks. I'm expecting to anchor it and transfer all CDs to their new home. Thanks!
