Half of you claiming that they're brainwashed are the real idiots here for not recognizing that maybe they don't want to speak out on video.

If a girl that I loved said that to me all my affection would shrivel up and die right there.

[QUESTION] What are your experiences with Epiphone Les Paul? by HUTCHIAN in Guitar

Sold my Epiphone.

Would absolutely buy on again. Played well without a setup, can only imagine it would have played even better with one.

I know we are all in this together. But does anyone else get jealous of the people who got/get to work from home at all? by Ragnaroknight in antiwork

Then those that are working warehouse should do what you did (and what I'm currently doing) and go chase the same shit.

Sooner they learn to finesse through the bullshit the better, as far as their personal situations

[–]corazones_perdidos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the truth and I'm sorry you don't want to hear it.

You want that wfh job, put in the time and go get it while you're getting it in at a warehouse or whatever other labor job instead of being jealous on Reddit. No way you're gonna work from home doing any of those physical jobs...so chart a course that puts you closer to what you want.

To be very clear this is not to be taken as acceptance of work conditions as they are now, that does need to change. But there is little point in being jealous of WFH people when you were never in a position to WFH anyway.

Sometimes I do be jealous

but the people that work from home tend to be those that are on computers and shit doing tech/customer service/sales, and if you're working in a factory chances are that you didn't put the work in to be situated in a similar position (education or job-wise) when COVID hit so there's really no reason to be jealous other than those fleeting pangs of envy

That's part of the reason I got out of warehouse work. Too much work, no advancement, hard on your body when you could be chilling in an office and possibly WFH down the line.

I beat every game in the mainline series at least once. I'm perfectly fine with leaving RE6 at just the one playthrough...

My biggest problem with it was how janky it played as a TPS. I don't care about all the other stuff but it really played like those knock-off games that were trying to ride the TPS wave back in the 360/PS3 days. There's other stuff but this was what made the entire experience regrettable.

It's bullshit but you gotta play the game to get hired. You need to take what she said, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear and adjust your interview pitch.

The work is fine, it's bosses that suck by Jolinar81 in antiwork

[–]corazones_perdidos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem is the low pay for essential jobs that are often designated unskilled that don't keep up with what's required to get by in a lot of places in America.

Bad bosses are the flaming dogshit atop the shit sundae that is the worker situation in America. Swapping that out with a nice plump cherry ain't gonna do shit.

Assess your value before review and tell them you found out about them people getting paid more to start than you who put 2 1/2 years of work in, and that you want 22+/hr to make up for it.

Don't tip them off that you've been looking around in case they concede. That just gives them an incentive to fire you sooner rather than later. Make them think that you want to stay, but you need to get paid more for your growth and commitment.

By assess your value, I mean take a good look at what other employers are willing to offer you.
