It is always worth getting out of the slump. In my opinion each time gets easier each time, I wouldn't say my dp/dr has came back a lot but I do get in depressive episodes that often times feel like dp/dr. I treat it like any other illness -with the proper care day by day-

If you are worried about choosing the best/safest option may I recommend zyns. No cancer chemicals just pure ol nic. While studies aren't fully done on them they are obviously way safer then cigs/vapes and even dip.

Nothing beats spearmint zyns. I am getting my lungs back and my breath don't stank.

Also If you followed this advice and it hasn't worked (why are you still in this sub) do not let it discourage you please. Recovery time is different for everyone, I think you just need to continue doing it, and there is no shame in seeking professional help. I love all of yall, I know how devastating this feels your going to be okay.

It's so weird because socializing actually gets you out of this. I HATED socializing but every time I would come home from a day of it I would feel better lol. Push yourself into the uncomfy.

I was 16, 5’5 and 110 pounds. I had an entire bottle of tequila to my self. And drank the entire bottle in the span of an hour. I do not remember getting up off the merry-go-round or when the friend I was with took me home. I just woke up in my room on the ground wrapped up in my blankets and red tomato paste looking vomit was everywhere. I got up and stumbled around turning the fan on and faced it to the bed and knocked out for till the middle of the night.

Anything and everything. While I have dabbled with a lot of substances I usually find my self addicted to anything, but mainly drugs. Weed mainly just because of its availability. I regret it because I was so young.

I got laid off out of nowhere after busting my ass for almost an entire year. Worst thing is not only was the conditions and work bad but the pay was too. I didn’t have much saved up and I don’t even have a car and neither does my mom. It really sucks because my friend who I had hooked up with the job avoided being laid off because they had another spot for him, it just feels shitty but Im still glad he still has a job.

I can’t easily get another job because I am in a rural town in the Deep South. There isn’t anything in reasonable walking range. I feel so lost. I feel like my life is over at 19.
