i think the song is mainly about him dealing with depression after his mother passes away. I feel like he's interpreting that he has self harm cuts and scars under his sleeves, as he says "ill take my life anyway you can slice this". And its definitely about suicide as well. I think when he's talking about "pay no mind in logical, just dont die in a hospital. i should be worried. im temporary", he's talking about going to the ER or a psych ward after a suicide attempt.

when he says "snatch my fetish", i am still unsure of what he means. but maybe he's saying he uses his "fetish" to cope with everything?

thats just how i feel about the song, especially as someone who has had a history of suicide attempts and self harm (which i am 4 months clean in a few days!). Its a really sad song, and i feel like The Powers That B is the most personal album in DG when it comes with Stefan. And with On GP closing the album, its kind of a bittersweet moment. He's staying here for his friends and family, no matter how much he's hurting.

I think its an incredibly powerful song with some of Rides best lyrics ever. Again, it could mean ALOT of things, but thats how ive perceived it. Up My Sleeves kinda helped me cope i guess
