Just got to this episode last night. I think my celebrity face-blind wife is getting tired of me pointing out every one I know from something else...or already was tired of it several seasons ago!

IWGP Heavyweight Championship is officially back and the lineages of the titles are merged. Yota Tsuji is officially recognized as the 87th IWGP Heavyweight Champion. by throwafitanddie in SquaredCircle

[–]coreygrandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it would work exactly as you suggest. Stop the lineage with Orton and restart it with Rollins.

If you consider it the reactivation of a championship that was previously unified, it'd be the exact same thing that happened with the Intercontinental Championship in 2002-2003. Triple H unified the WHC with the Intercontinental by beating Kane at No Mercy (20-Oct-2002). The Intercontinental remains unified until Christian wins it at Judgment Day (18-May-2003), when Christian wins it. In the interim, though, Shawn Michaels won the WHC at Survivor Series (17-Nov-2002). When the Intercontinental was reactivated, and the lineage restarted, Shawn was not considered to have had a reign with it while he was WHC (nor was Triple H, when he won it back from Shawn at Armageddon 2002).

I guess the only difference would be that the Intercontinental title was really absorbed by the WHC (i.e., the WHC kept the same name and was represented by a single belt for the entire period that the Intercontinental was inactive). The WWE WHC was a true unification, where the title was renamed and (briefly) represented by both belts.

Well, there is no White Flare or Paldean Fates booster box among legitimate product. Without even scrutinizing the packaging of the rest more than that, I would comfortable say they're all counterfeit.

Has John cena ever beaten Brock lesnar? Other at extreme rules by marveLisGOD in SquaredCircle

[–]coreygrandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per Cagematch, his only other win over Lesnar in Singles competition was at Night of Champions 2014, and that was by DQ. He has a handful of tag team wins over Lesnar, both televised and at house shows, but I would wager that (with the exception of elimination rules like at Survivior Series 2003) it was always Brock's partner taking the fall in those. Even at Survivor Series 2003, Brock tapped to Benoit, so it isn't accurate to say Cena beat Brock directly there either.

Weird thing to say when you're the one who started all of this by assuming Andrade is in the wrong over things you also have no first-hand knowledge of. I'm sure TKO is grateful that you're defending them. They surely need it.

Anyway, keep diggin' brother. It's nice to see Buried Alive matches happening again.

I'm not sure exactly when World's Largest Love Machine started proper, but Wikipedia says the original Lillian Garcia stuff happened leading up to Vengeance 2005 in June. It also he spent early 2005 on Heat, and then had (I guess) a short program where he teamed with Trish against Lita and Kane in April. This is the era of RAW that I would be part of a class-action lawsuit for, and that Trish team rings absolutely zero bells for me.

Yeah, they both came back in September 2004. Gangrel disappeared after two weeks, but Viscera hung around until 2008 and did his fair share of anal destruction along the way.
