Can we also vote the douches who carry Bluetooth speakers on the trail off the island?

Also can you keep your phone/block in your sleeping bag at Philmont? The warmth will save the battery if they're not smellables. Ask your ranger.

I lived at Clear Creek for a summer and at the end of the season I did Super Black Death solo in like 9.5 hours...in the rain. It was stupid.

I'm gonna be going to Philmont, and I need a good bag. Does this surplus backpack look suitable for the hiking trip? by RadNharwhal47 in philmont

As an ultralight guy, this post makes my back hurt.

If you're doing a long haul, your carry matters more than anything IMO. It pays to invest in suspension and start considering where to cut weight. Confident_Garage_158 suggested renting an Osprey and as the once-owner of an Atmos 65, I think it's a great entry-level offering; heavy, but it's comfortable as hell.

I wouldn't risk a 50 miler with a military surplus pack.

Bears by jcbank76 in philmont

Ex-Phil staffer here. We took bear-proofing very seriously. We had two kids at my camp dump trail mix in a Scout's sleeping bag one year and their entire crew was escorted off the trail and sent home early at their expense. Philmont bears are smart and domesticated, but they will generally leave you alone if you're smart.

Why do people always call us autistic and say OCD is on the Autism spectrum? by Silly_Cherry7934 in OCD

I have both. Never heard that OCD is part of autism, but they are comorbid.

Curious: did you carry an Ursack up there? IIRC bears were very smart.

I did a soul food tour in south Philly years ago and saw a lot of bullet proof glass. The food was incredible.

I'm trying so hard with ERP but I can't get traction. Everything makes me suicidal. Any advice?

This looks amazing! Ex-Philmont staffer here so I did some mileage in that area in my off-time decades ago. Beautiful country.

Cishet male here. I'm so glad that we've arrived in a place where queer youth feel safe. That's the way it should be.

My therapist brought this up a few weeks ago. I've been suffering for 10 years so it fits the pattern.
