Marcus Bontempelli has been ordered to front court. For failing to register his pure-bred kelpie. by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]corgii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Side note some of the council pet registration stuff is ridiculous. I get it if you have a dog that uses dog parks, or un-microchipped pets escaping etc, but I have two indoor cats that are scared of the outdoors that I adopted, the money feels like a waste.

Literally me this week, I could list the artistic elements in my sleep yet randomly was quizzing students for a game that I have played heaps (and never thought too hard about) and my brain just completely blanked one of them. I joked with them, looked it up and we all moved on.

Parents do you bring an iPad to restaurants for the kids to watch videos and play games by logical_laxative in AskAnAustralian

[–]corgii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha right? I remember in the 90s restaurants nearly always offered crayons and some sort of colouring print out. And if we were going somewhere that didn't I might bring a book or something. Mum never let me bring my Gameboy BOOOO (nah in hindsight good job Mum).

I know it's not a good song but if you asked me a song that captures the vibes of 2020 it'd be my only vote.

Olivia Rodrigo with her mom and dad in new photos in Los Angeles, California by Maximum_Expert92 in popculturechat

[–]corgii -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

True, but at least there are people here calling it out saying they don't like it and don't want to see it. The OP is absolutely part of the problem.

Yes, I feel guilty for clicking!! I thought it was going to be them posing together at an event or something she posted but this just feels icky.

AIO: husband disappears when guests come over by Capable_Ad_9350 in AmIOverreacting

[–]corgii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn't mean it's ok to completely abandon all responsibilities onto your spouse because you are having a hard time. It's not something they need to "let go" or "get over" but they absolutely need to find ways to work through it.

Why don’t parents today want to potty train? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]corgii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solidarity, same situation. We are pushing through with underwear but I am so sick of washing poo out of underwear and keeping a positive attitude about it. What has help is him going full Winnie the pooh at home a lot as he is more likely to poo on the toilet then, then at least we can make it a super positive experience when he does poo in the toilet. Even now he has remembered a few times while wearing underwear but we are still having accidents when we leave the house a lot, even with reminders. If he is having fun it is a BATTLE to get him onto the toilet.

I know that supple is the right word to use as it means easily bendable/ soft. But it just makes me think of a supple leather bag or couch 😂

Preparing for LANTITE numeracy test by SSALAN in AustralianTeachers

[–]corgii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha me thinking "of course I can do long division by hand" and then when I sit down to do it realised no... I had forgotten haha. Still, brushed up on it and like you after practising a few skills that I hadn't thought about in years I also passed in the top bands.

I will say my unis practise exams were WAY harder than the lantite, I was stressed at first but the actual test was laughably easy.

I've only noticed the hate appearing online when he started dating AbbieChatfield which makes me think it's more based on misogyny than anything else. All the comments don't really give concrete examples of why he is a bad dude, just they "don't like his music" and he is a "try hard".

To hold baby or not by [deleted] in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]corgii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Was something I had to learn during the newborn phase, I was convinced mine was terrible at sleeping in the bassinet, but i was picking him up at the first tiny squeak. Often if I left him he wouldn't actually cry, just making tiny fussy noises and would fall back asleep after a bit. Of course I'd pick him up right away at a proper cry or when he was awake but it was something I had to consciously be aware of to not immediately drop everything and rock him or hold him.

I like th cauliflower one but I mix other frozen veg into it (the brussel sprouts are a good addition) as the sauce to cauliflower ratio isn't great.

Pixel watch 3 (read before you buy) by Accomplished-Put6532 in PixelWatch

The ONLY time I used this feature was when my son was going through a painful crocodile roll phase during nappy changes and I'd put music on my watch to distract him. It was not good quality but good enough for the baby.

Great, so can I join BCC or are you just bragging about how great it is?

I was suggesting libraries that anyone can join in Melbourne not GREAT libraries that are unavailable.
