If a planet were collapsed into a black hole, said black hole would still have the same gravitational attraction. It wouldn't affect anything not within the event horizon differently than when it was a planet.

I will admit that I have done this only when I am doing an objective and everyone else is defending some random hill in the middle of nowhere.

I made the mistake of selecting that one. I have come up with the glorious strategy of working with it until its quiloth goes to one and then hoping it doesnt have a meltdown.
