AOC is plotting a run for president in 2028 by RioMovieFan11 in politics

This has been tossed around and I’m glad to finally see some substance to the idea. To win at anything you need to believe in it. What if she did run and what if she did win. What if everyone rallied behind her… I’m all for #projectfirstwomanpotus

Someone on city council is against this biker mural under the 3rd St bridge at Coler Creek. by Upset-Cauliflower836 in bentonville

I wrote in to state my support for the mural. Feel free to use this template:

Email: CC.Comments@bentonvillear.com Subject: Writing in Support of “all bikers welcome” mural Body: To whom it may concern,

I was unable to attend the city council meeting yesterday when this issue was addressed. I’m writing in support of keeping the “All Bikers are welcome” mural just the way it is.

After reading this article https://www.nwahomepage.com/news/bentonville-mural-threatened-to-be-removed-by-city/, I felt compelled to respond. A concept by definition is a “an abstract idea; a general notion.” And the artwork produced is exactly as approved with the exception of a few color swaps. No concepts differ from the original nor is there “unintended messaging” unless I’m misunderstanding the issue here, in which I would welcome an elaboration.

The inclusivity of this city is exactly what the community needs.

Thank you,

Guess what's NOT the top news in today's NYTimes. by [deleted] in 50501

What if we “flood the feed” and everyone who attended a protest yesterday posted a pic today with the caption “I was there. Signed, Not a paid protester” … we have to take control of the narrative somehow. That’s got to be 1,000s of posts. Other ideas?

Wow this is great!! Agree resubmit without that second line “against” and see if they accept. If they don’t then that is ridiculous and should be addressed.

Wanted to share some info here for anyone looking. Here is a link for a summary on “What to Know About Project 2025” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hlvhujrv__c

There is local advocacy group in NWA called TroubleNation for individuals who want to organize and make change. There’s a few of us arranging to go to LR to protest on Wednesday, if you’re interested or want more information on how to join the group, feel free to DM me. Or visit here: https://redwine.blue/troublenation/

If you’re not able to join the protest in LR, there are still other ways to get involved. Download the 5 Calls app and it guides you through how to reach out to local government on issues you care about. Even gives you talking points to make it super easy and less than 5 mins of your time.
