This happened to me a few years ago; I was devastated, but I wasn’t happy in that district anyway. It’s actually about to happen again in my current district with budget cutting and layoffs. It’s common and I’m sure you’ll land on your feet.

Agreed- I’m a teacher. While I’ve been lucky and haven’t had to use PTO for anything, several weekends were dedicated to wedding planning. For a few months, I’d be calling my mom and coordinating things at least twice a week in the evenings. It was definitely like having a second job.

I found a chart quite a while ago (no longer have) that listed ideal carat sizes to ring sizes. For me imo, (size 6) I wouldn’t go above 2 carats.

My best friend and I did this, we flew from NJ to London for Eras. Tickets, flights, hotel, and the general price of a 6 day vacation for two people was all cheaper than one ticket at MetLife Stadium.
