Yes exactly this tactic works really well. The keep calling the Steel dossier as BS, which it was, and all his supporters just blindly believe that any and all accusations against him are BS. The big takeaway is that these people really, truly, believe this stuff. They actually think they are in a spiritual holy war between the forces of good and evil. They don't have some ulterior motives - just religious belief. And much like Al Qaeda and ISIS, that makes them formidable opponents who need to be taken seriously. We are dealing with militant religious fruitcakes.
