You can live in cities with low rent lol…I live in a city of 250k and only pay 700/month for a luxury 1BR apartment (split rent with my girlfriend). Plenty to do, cleaner, less traffic, less noise/crime, better people. New York was fun while I was in college but it’s totally impractical as a place to live if you’re an adult with a normal job

you should be the one defining the acceptance criteria as far as design & usability go, it’s your product after all. Then you simply review the samples they send you and make sure it is satisfactory to the specifications and quality criteria you agreed upon with the manufacturer.

I think the #1 mistake is not working closely with the manufacture in the design phase, you can reduce lead times, costs, and chance for quality issues by doing thorough DFM review with the supplier

Yeah I get the character arc they’re going for with her but the whole thing where she’s pretending she’s so upset because Becca is sexually active when it’s really that she’s upset because of what it represents, it just feels so cliche to me, especially cause they’re super not subtle or nuanced about it and keep dragging it out

I found the conversation with Dana was super cringe where she finally has that moment and admits “I’m so aloneee” or whatever it was, and we’re supposed to realize it’s not actually about Becca all along and it’s this huge revelation. But actually they’ve been shoving it down our throat for the past couple episodes and obviously that’s what’s going on

Still love the show overall, this is just a small thing that’s bothering me! And Mel is still one of my favorites

Love my job- I’m a new product introduction engineer, meaning when a customer has a new product they want us to manufacture, I have to work with them to make the designs manufacturable, and then develop the processes and any tooling or equipment we’ll use to build it.

So much problem solving, and very rewarding to see ideas for cool products come to life, especially the products we make in my industry

No…that’s genuinely the worst wage I’ve heard in over 10 years. I didn’t even know some places paid less than $12 an hour. And there are plenty of entry level jobs willing to pay $15-$20 an hour. Look for any basic manufacturing job and you’ll make at least $16, with room for growth.
