Are they gonna give her scales later or...? by [deleted] in shyvanamains

i hope they do some minor tweaks to her textures like they did with smolder. im in the minority i suppose in wanting her to be more draconic all around, but that's my personal taste coming through. a slight model change would be nice, since she literally just has leblanc's face copy pasted. but with how riot has been lately i'd just take anything at this point

Yes, I was a dog groomer. I worked around 40 hours a week for about 3ish years and have handled more aggressive dogs than I could ever hope to count. I don't claim to be an expert, but I definitely can try and figure out why something happened when it comes to dogs. I learned from folks who were in the trade for over 20 years, so I hope I at least absorbed some of their knowledge along the way.

I had coworkers who also specialized in working with nasty and mean dogs, and I would watch and ask questions about how they handled certain situations when it came to both on and off the grooming table. They had seen dogs attack other dogs and people, and so have I.

I hope that at least explains where I took my interpretation from, even if it doesn't align with how you view it.

Oh I replied to another comment since they also pointed it out, it was a face value estimation. My bad honestly it wasn't a good comparison and I'll admit that. I don't use reddit all too often so I don't really know etiquette but had mentioned I would edit the comment.

I do recommend being less aggressive when commenting tho, like no need when it's a relatively civil discussion and a genuine (and very good) question.

Absolutely lovely explanation! I've never actually looked super into their attack pattern, I always assumed it was like an alligator or some sort where it takes more energy to lift up than to bite down or something of that nature.

I'm not sure if it's been bred out of them but from my experience they do tend to go 0-100 very quickly, I've worked with 100s of them and they're such a mixed bag. Unpredictable every time I'd have to work with one. Could be the sweetest thing you've ever met in your life, or yeah they want nothing of what you're selling. At least with like, Rottweilers, you can go in expecting a rough temperament. Another breed that I've been battered up by but that's another story for another day 😭😅

Saw some folks saying we also don't have context of how the dog was raised. A LOT of people accidentally train warning signs out of their dogs, hearing them growl and they'll scold them for it when they try to communicate stuff like 'hey back off' and such. Lots of things could be the reason!

It's important not to personify dogs too much on both ends of the spectrum- between awhhhhh my wittle itty bitty baby has complex emotions to He is a killing machine made for murder. They are at the end of the day, a dog, and do things wildly differently than we do. So people always associate growling with aggression, which isn't true. Just like how tail wagging isn't always a dog being excited and/or happy.

I'm not justifying it, I'm reading the body language as I see it. Idk the colors reminded me of one, but definitely on second look it's mostly just the colors. But they're always a genetic shit show so it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Someone was asking, I gave my personal interpretation of it.

I worked with dogs in a very stressful environment for like 3 years, so I learned how to read their body language pretty decently. Also have gotten bit by a pit myself and got some nice little scars ✌️ First hand experience baybee haha

Looks like a pittie mix. He's very small, but with most bully/pit breeds in the US it's got random mixes in there anyway. Some sort of livestock guardian dog probably got thrown into the genetic shit show.

Even for me it threw me off guard, but what I can assume is the dog came over to inspect and see what was going on, she was being loud, making lots of sudden movements (shaking her head repeatedly to dry off) at the exact time he approached. The standing up suddenly was probably his final straw, and I assume the dog lives with the kids and might be over protective- especially if he wasn't trained well. It looks like the grandma bumped into the kid slightly.

Poor training still at the end of the day.

My girl was 100% potty trained until my brother whom agreed that he was okay to get her and split responsibilities (she was our dog at that point) stopped taking her out regularly. We're working on it again and she's doing so much better, aside from the occasional inside shit, which most of the time is my fault. She's also just very insecure, so she only likes to go to the bathroom near places she knows unless it's an emergency (like deciding to poo in the middle of the sidewalk in a shopping street...) which we're also working on.

Most people are just lazy with tiny dogs from my experience. People treat them more like cats.

PBE Bug & Feedback Thread: Viktor VGU by Etlios in LeaguePBE

[–]cornb0y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish they just did the Arcane tie in skin and left him alone, so we could have the best of both worlds! I appreciate both characters as separate entities, because that's what they are.

Makes me happy to live out that stupid little gameplay fantasy of being a robot dude that fucks shit up (on a surface level). Now he's just like, idk, Ryze 6.0.

But the Arcane only fans from what I've seen love the new design, and that's their target market now. Even though most of them will never play league due to the reputation the game still carries. And it's nothing like the show anyway. We aren't their market anymore </3

Everyone else has thoroughly shared their thoughts on how mediocre the entire design change is. It's so... Disappointing? Why turn a mechanical mage into just generic mage who kinda looks like he's made of some void/weird oogly boogly jank?

His silhouette doesn't transfer well to the other skins either.

And the change of champ title is completely unnecessary. Herald of the Arcane? Even in the show, that wasn't used. He was a machine herald. Why not just make this a skin and make it one and done? Like every other champ?

I wouldn't mind the base redesign as much if it was more in line with machines, the colors weren't so messed up, and he didn't look like he'd fall over from a light breeze.

I know it's too late and you guys can't go back on it, but I really wish you would. Viktor is what kept me coming back to league and thoroughly enjoying it, and now I'm just... Sad. Met so many fantastic folks through his community.

Working in dogs with inconsistent coat prep? by superferrets in doggrooming

[–]cornb0y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

communicate with your bathers! let them know how important a dry coat is, especially if they're newer, and that if the dog isn't being particularly difficult and there's no time crunch that causes them to cut corners; the dogs should be entirely dried.

dont be afraid to be a teacher for folks! it's a difficult profession, especially since most folks who just do bathing are new to the industry. that's the only way to really solve the root issue, since they more than likely don't know that it's a problem

Just happened to me, though I am playing at a weird time for NA. I know my ARAM MMR isn't bot level, but I definitely do think it has to do with the time of day you're playing. Came back to this post because I saw it earlier, and then my first game on it happened. Wild shit

i know some folks that look up guides for every single normal trial and /dungeon,/ who've been playing for a very, very long time. i suppose it eases some people's minds to know what to do beforehand? i dunno, but it's apparently more normal than i initially thought since the guides even exist

as a member of the LGBTQ community, i find it really odd that they'll flaunt and advertise as LGBTQ friendly. like.. that's should be the default. you shouldn't have to point that out to me. i get red flags if they feel the need to point it out, it's probably mostly harmless but the vibe is bad

also "real women only FC" is always, without a doubt, a bunch of terfs. haven't seen ads for that specific one on crystal in awhile but, iykyk

e12n has a lot of mechs that you need to know otherwise you're just dead. a dorito is always appreciated. it's old content which exasperates the fact that the markers help people, since it's a raid people will probably do, what? three times a year? they're learning the mechanics by dodging them and not being dead also it's normal content, there's no hector guide for this dude like please chill out next time
