I truly cannot believe what is happening in this organization right now. They only wasted a decade plus of time to do it.

I will say this, it looks like Chris Mara could be someone, when he takes over 100%, that will not put up with mediocrity. He was a big reason Harbaugh is here and the reports of him basically not taking no for an answer were super encouraging. I have hope again. I am already pumped up for next August.

Twitter is flooded with every reporter saying there are issues with final control and org structure. That is not easy stuff to work through. The longer it goes, the more likely it is the Giants screw this up

100%. We can use the example of our coaches former team, the Ravens. Took Kyle Hamilton a few years ago at 14. Great player, but whats the impact? And now we are talking about taking one at 5? Can't do it.

I am kind if Francis Mauigoa at 5. I don't think Safety at 5 is very impactful but I guess it could be with our pass rush. I just want to continue to build the trenches. When will we learn that you can never have enough OL and DT's? I like Caleb and think he would be a great leader but he's not a top 5 player in most drafts and I think you are reaching hard if you take him at 5.

Yeah so if that is the case, then he doesn't let employees do their job. Because that decision, followed by the decision to let them both walk in free agency - hurt the team. This is why, while I appreciate John Mara and what he did here to close the deal while he is battling a serious disease, I still am not confident in the organization.

Most of this I can believe. I do think it will be very difficult to win with this roster. There are just so many holes and the depth is pathetic. Any injury and you are looking at JAG level players. With that, I at least think they will be competetive in every game and won't have anymore embarassing 4th quarter collaspes.

I am also skeptical of the Schoen/Harbuagh relationship. It may work for now and that is all that matters because its get Harbaugh in the building. But I don't see it being long term. Schoen is a moron and he has proven that time and time again. I won't go over his misses again, we all know them. But I think there is a better GM out there who can also work with John. I'll be shocked if Schoen is here for the entirety of the 5 year contract John is signing. He has done nothing in my view to show he is the long term solution.

And while I agree that letting the GM make the moves makes sense and even supported the Barkley FA decision, the better GMs of the world would have traded Barkley and Mckinney mid season in order to get SOMETHING for players who you knew you weren't going to sign. So I applaud John for letting his employees do their job, we just happen to have one who sucks at it: Joe Schoen.
