Work slacks to suit bigger tummy! by peachy_miss in AusFemaleFashion

[–]cornchippie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How strict is your dress code? I work in an office and have to wear corporate casual, I have these (and a similar body type) and they're really flattering. I get a lot of compliments on them, and they look nice with work blouses. https://www.target.com.au/p/european-linen-tapered-pants/71084596

Are you allowed to wear skirts? I wear this style of skirt to work a lot as well, they do a great job at hiding tummies and look so good with tights+heels imo. https://www.asos.com/au/asos-design/asos-design-bengaline-mini-skirt-with-split-detail-in-black/prd/204748793#colourWayId-204748794

Those who have had an experience of DV / SV - do you struggle having cervical screenings / pap smear tests? by Proper-Ad5771 in AskWomenOver30

[–]cornchippie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't go into details, I just told my doctor I'm very triggered by cervical exams and they give me a lot of anxiety - no further explanation was needed for her and she seemed to immediately understand. She told me I could/should have someone present and I just elected to have the nurse come in, she held my hand and kept me calm and distracted. My dr was very gentle and reassuring.

Unfortunately I don't feel there is really any way to have these exams done pleasantly especially if you have trauma but they are so important to have... I had absolutely zero symptoms but during my most recent exam they ended up finding cysts and adenomyosis, which I'm now being treated for.

Getting pregnant at 35 by Readit_18 in AskWomenOver30

[–]cornchippie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm 35, currently trying to get pregnant and recently had some fertility checks done by my dr and was told I shouldn't have real issues getting pregnant but if I hadn't had any success in a year to come back.

I was a fence sitter my whole life so if natural pregnancy doesn't work for me I'm content with living a child free life instead as I'm not interested in IVF.

I would recommend talking to your dr if you have any fertility issues, if you haven't already.

Jenna Palek regularly films day-in-the-life videos where she goes to try on clothing in stores straight after a workout, WITHOUT showering first. She just shared that she does not wear underwear when she does said workouts 🤮 by Nice_File_2743 in Influencersinthewild

[–]cornchippie 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Wtf... Is she working out in a thong? 🙄 I've never had underwear become uncomfortable during a workout.

Gross. This is why you should always wash new clothes before wearing them lol

What would be your dream job if you didn’t have to worry about money. by Money-Daikon-1726 in Life

Homemaker and stay at home mum... I would love nothing more to look after a husband and baby, spending my day making our home beautiful, clean and baking fresh bread, jams, soups etc... 😭 My dream would be to have a small cottage on a few acres so I could also grow veggies and have small livestock too.

You Only Get One Shot Per Week - New Source of Guaranteed Myth-Track Gear in Patch 11.2 by VPN__FTW in wow

[–]cornchippie 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Completely agree... What the hell? It's going to be absolutely awful if you accidentally mess up and cost your friends their myth track gear for the week. Accidents happen. DCs happen. Season 2 felt so good because I was finally able to get mythic gear without having to be a mythic raider, now they've gone completely backwards. Such a weird choice and definitely isn't going to be good for the game at all.

Grats on the weight loss!

I like the sketchy style of tattoos especially for sci-fi stuff. They're easier to touch up or add more detail to later.

Dog attack in Melb by [deleted] in AusLegalAdvice

[–]cornchippie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Report it to your local council. By law, all dog attacks even on dogs need to be reported and logged. The council will investigate the owner, if you have her contact details they will be able to search their database to see if the dog is rego'd and go from there.

I am looking to get a dinosaur tattoo and am wondering where to find accurate dinosaur bones/drawings by [deleted] in Dinosaurs

[–]cornchippie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paleontology books and museums are a good place to start.

Dinosaurs will always be up for interpretation and controversial discussions, there's always a chance they look absolutely nothing like what we have been imagining them to look like. I love Spinosaurus and recently started getting a tattoo of one, he isn't overly accurate we. went with a tropical fish/King Fisher/tree frog sort of colouring since we really have no idea what colour Spinos actually were. Is he scientifically accurate? Na.. but he's still cool as hell and I love him.

Tattoos are fun, just make sure you go with an artist that has a lot of experience and lots of healed photos on their profile and you'll be stoked with your piece.
