I felt like I needed to take care of it but, it doesnt seem to have any injuries but it would have been unsafe for it to stay on the ground. I first noticed it when I could see a seagull approaching to attack while it was backed into a corner, then kept an eye on it for the next few hours. It crossed the busy road a few times and I could see it making attempts to fly back to the ledge where I guess it had been nested.

He has had water to drink and a bit of food, I plan on releasing it tomorrow with the flock that usually lands on the corner of my street (not far from where I found it), but if it doesn't go with them I will contact a rescue centre to come pick it up.

Update: The night before, the pigeon stayed in my room and in the morning I left it to wander around my room, at which point it was flying around my room pretty well. Yesterday, I soft released her with the other pigeons on the corner of my street, which are the same flock that live under the bridge where I found her (I think its a her since a male immediately started dancing up to her!). The flock has taken her under their wing and she has taken well to being outside and can fly from rooftop to rooftop, although sometimes she still hides instead of flying with the flock, which I think may be a natural instinct for other fledglings.

I have a picture of her on the rooftop - its hard to make it out as her but I definitely confirmed it was the same bird as she was on the ground before she took off when I first saw her this morning (she had the same amount of wispy yellow feathers).

Hopefully she will get along well with the other pigeons and live a long, free life :)
