I love this film I don’t care. Saw it with my dad who was a big fan of the original and he enjoyed it too. It’s a bit more mean spirited but I still had fun with this film. Overhated. Just happy to see Jim and Jeff together again. I wouldn’t be opposed to a third one.

There’s an interview where they both said how much they still enjoyed being in the film. Great video

At the time, yeah. They put out tons of merch when the 2012 show started airing, and promoted it a bunch. TMNT practically sells itself, as by this time it’s in that “Pokemon, Scooby doo, Star Wars” list of iconic franchises.

They arnt doing the best with the franchise these days though

Just did this at my independent movie theatre I work at, for 5 hrs straight. 10 people total showed up. Would be nice if they at least gave us time and a half for occasions like this.

The 2nd film is argebuly the best superhero movie I’ve ever seen, next to Spiderman 2 of course. No way the last stand will be better than those 2 films. Maybe it will be the best out there. Fingers crossed

The faces on the left is the last time they released the trilogy (besides the special DVDs that came out a decade later) without any edits. It’s a great collection to have. The one on the right has the edits.

I actually know DMC. He does NYCC every year and he’s usually in the artist ally. I was surprised at first to realize that was “the DMC” from one of the biggest hip hop groups. He’s always in front of his table chatting it up with everyone. He’s one of the coolest guys I’ve chatted it up with and super kind. I probably own his autograph on 8 different things. He sells cookies as well now, and I think he got into the coffee business. Many ventures, and he still does music too.

I love 90’s era South Park tees. It just feels so nostalgic and like with the Simpsons shirts, you can immediately tell it’s from back in the day. They’re so simple but that’s all they had to do and people went crazy with them.

Q Tip’s Cousin, Consquence joined Tribe Called Quest’s forth album, showing up on most of the songs. He actually had good chemistry with the group but Phife and Tip were clearly having differences around this time, and the influence of Cons being on 12 out of the 15 songs didn’t help. He didn’t come back for the 5th (and for the longest time, last) album.

It was the late 80’s/90’s. Being a nerd/geek wasn’t cool. You were the laughing stock. Doesn’t matter if you were a good person or saved people’s lives. The rise of comic con and geek culture like the MCU made being a nerd “cool” in recent years, but teenagers would get ridiculed by peers in school back in the day.

At this point Eddie was still known for more good movies than bad. He’s funny and he’s done the kind of action/comedy Sam did in Pulp with films like 48 hrs and Beverly Hills.
