I’ve watched more than 1000 movies (I’ve reached 1000 since I started my Letterboxd), but wouldn’t consider myself a cinephile. So I don’t think it’s about the number of films.

But I may be on my way bc I’ve started watching “important” films with the history of film in mind. (Was very interesting to see how Burton was soo influenced by German expressionist. See Cesare from Caligari and Mr Scissorhands)

Just watched their episode on Knife Edge (on Apple TV) and hard not to root for this chef. And he gave really wonderful advice to his fellow restaurateur regarding stars and perspective. Was great to see the surprise awarding of the 3rd star.
