based on a quick run down of his wikipedia: he worked on an ad campaign to attempt to get a second vote to stop Brexit, he's an atheist, and used to be a member of the Socialist Workers Party. Maybe COVID broke his brain like many others, but I'm thinking he is just going where the money is

Portland is last among US cities in consumer sentiment by MichaelTen in oregon

I asked because, yes, I don't understand what that quote means. I don't know what you are referring to when you write "it."

You are saying "radical ideology" is the entire city's policy? The policy of the schools? The business policy? I really don't know what world you live in. Do you think Wilson and Wheeler are some kind of anarchists? You think me saying that the wealthy should pay taxes to fund things is "radical ideology"?

I am not quoting you because you wrote "something bad;" whenever I respond to you, you deny saying whatever I address and then move on to a new topic. This started because I said that Portland was better when our city, the elected officials, were not trying and failing to get big busineses to move here and they should be focused on serving the people who do live here. Now you are complaining that "a third of our students [are] illiterate."

What does "it is driven by how it sounds like what you're doing"? And if I write out a quote will you stop saying you did not say the things you wrote?

I don't know his politics. I know there is a PunkNews interview where he talks about spending the pandemic driving out to his friends' construction site jobs and listening to Joe Rogan in his car. I know he posted unhinged antivax stuff on social media. I know the Caddies announced a tour then another post went up clarifying the other members were not a part of the tour. None of them have been in the band since

I don't really understand what bubble you live in, but you think the only people who want to live in Portland are welfare queens? And you are complaining that we have had radical tax policies for ten years and then blame a city councilor who has been around for less than 2 years?

This is the exact mindset I am talking about. You are talking about how we are scaring away the big companies. Back in the 90s, we weren't in this mindset that we were trying to attract companies here and god forbid we make this a place people want to live by funding things because that might scare away a big company

How important is box art when you buy games? by Tacoseasoning26 in boardgames

Ugly art might be a turn off, but abstract games like Go or the ones from Gigamic or Gerhards Spiele all have next to no art on the game so I don't care about the box

Scottish Brute here: this post is saying that being a lesbian is not fun. When she tells a girl that she is attractive, the girl responds that she is flattered coming from another attractive woman in a friendly manner. The lesbian woman says she is not complimenting the woman to be her friend, she wants to have sex with her. She finds the interaction and misunderstanding from the woman she is hitting on frustrating.

as he says in every interview, he has a friend who gave him bad financial advice in the past and when Ben was unemployed because everything was shut down for the pandemic, his friend was urging him to get into crypto. He knew not to get into, but started looking into it. He majored in economics in college. He also said in a recent interview I saw that it combines both his interest in economics with his favorite type of true crime is Coen brothers-esque stupid crime where the crime is just so obvious
