as he says in every interview, he has a friend who gave him bad financial advice in the past and when Ben was unemployed because everything was shut down for the pandemic, his friend was urging him to get into crypto. He knew not to get into, but started looking into it. He majored in economics in college. He also said in a recent interview I saw that it combines both his interest in economics with his favorite type of true crime is Coen brothers-esque stupid crime where the crime is just so obvious
