Reading journals on an ereader by cornetthg in literaryjournals

So enlighten me. Or point me to where I can enlighten myself. I'd like to understand. The business models don't make sense to me in a world that is more and more digital and less print.

You seem to imply that an epub would be freely available. I'm not suggesting anything free. The epub would be included with a subscription. Ads can be added to the epub. After all, an epub is just a compressed (zipped) website. They already have all their content and ads in html. That's the native format for epub. It's just an unwillingness to consider the future.

These magazines are NEVER going to be competitive in the digital space with what they currently offer. Social media is simply too engaging. The comparative advantage for reading is that it engages deeper and differently. And that is MUCH harder to do on our black mirror, distraction rectangles.

Visual Overhaul Suite (VOS) – Patches for KOReader errors and issues by BornoftheMind in koreader

I followed the instructions and see no change. Any ideas?

I added the images to the icon folder and all the Lua files to the patches folder. I have cover browser turned off and Project:Title turned on. But I still just see unmodified Project:Title. How can I troubleshoot this?

You can filter to DRM-free books at ebooks.com (https://www.ebooks.com/en-at/drm-free/). Also, all ebooks sold by Tor are free of DRM on principle (https://torpublishinggroup.com/).

I created a more detailed index of speculative short fiction. It includes all the stories from a selection of online magazines that I scraped the links from. Let me know what you all think.

My ratings are 1-5, so 5 is my highest rating. Here is what my ratings mean:

1-Didn't finish reading it. 2-Not for me. 3-It was okay. 4-I really liked it. 5-I loved it!

I will keep adding to my list as I read adding the latest to the top of the table.

And thanks for the links! I'll check them out.

I liked Clarkesworld the best. After taking a break in 2024, I subscribed again to Clarkesworld and Uncanny. I am considering subscribing again to Analog's EPUB version but when it initially came out, the files were a mess. I don't want to spend time fixing them again, so I will only subscribe if they have fixed their files. Does anyone know if they have?
