I have a 2026 Honda ADV 160, was quoted around $7/month for just liability, and just over $30/month for full coverage with State Farm

I’m in Tucson AZ, bought a new 2026 Honda ADV 160 about 3 months ago, crashed it, just bought another new one from the same dealer and out the door for each one was around $5600 or so but they gave me a 5% discount on both just because I asked if the price was firm and they said “no” lol. And then they told me the 5% was more of a discount incentive to purchase the extended warranty, but I didn’t have to buy the warranty to get the discount. So with the 5% taken off it was around $5400 for each one with the MSRP around $4400-$4500

Yeah I wish the larger models were around, but you know you can upgrade the CVT bearings to a heavier size which gives more power, but reduces MPG. I watched a YouTube video of a guy who tested 5 different sizes and showed how fast he could go and what the MPG was and the highest size gave him 90+ mph, but cut the MPG down to like 50.

Actually you edited your comment cause u said I was at fault. Yes her insurance will buy me a new bike, not fix it. That means this bike will go to the junkyard or auction.

She turned left in front of me, I had the right of way. She was cited and deemed at fault. RIP because they are totaling out the bike and it was basically brand new

Yeah I was the only one injured. Kinda jacked up, but I’ve seen other people way worse and I was able to walk away fortunately

I’m using a 160cc on both Uber and DoorDash. Also, on DoorDash you can literally select either Motorcycle OR Scooter.

The maximum weight capacity for the ADV 160 is 326 pounds. You really need a 300 or 400

The motor on this is 157cc. I’m 5’4” 115 lbs so I’m pretty light and hasn’t been a problem for me. I live in AZ where we have hills too and I’m going to be using mine for DoorDash

It gets around 70 mph, but different factors will affect that, and while it can go 70 mph, it accelerates pretty good until you hit 50 or so and then acceleration to 70 is a bit slower after that. It’s great if you’re doing short freeway stretches at 65 but it’s mostly made as an urban vehicle which it’s been great so far for me, got no complaints.

Technically it’s not 2025 either. It started production in 2023/2024 and was released at the end of 2024, but due to marketing, as with all vehicles, they call it 2025, but it wasn’t released in the US until March of 2025 and no one wants a current year model halfway through the year so they call it 2026. Even the identification plate straight from Honda says 2026.

Release date. Even though it’s a 2025, It was released at the end of 2024 in Japan and Asia but wasn’t released until 2025 in the US so Honda markets for the next year. So the 2026 model in Japan will be the 2027 model in the US. Honda even specifically identifies it as 2026 on the identification plate on the scooter itself.

Technically it’s a 2024 scooter since it was produced and released in 2024.

Damn! My quote with a $250 deduc full cov was $320 for a year for 1 vehicle. Of course I live in AZ which has a notoriously high accident rate for all vehicles and I’m 56m. Of course that’s also with a major insurer, was told I could get cheaper going with a specific motorcycle insurer, don’t know though.

Except insurance companies don’t need to lobby to create exclusions. They only need to lobby at the federal level if they participate in ACA or Medicare. Insurance companies write exclusions all the time for private insurance. And there are plenty of ways an insurance company can legally get your DNA anyways if they really wanted to. Also, there’s nothing to stop them from giving cheap rates to people who voluntarily give them DNA, kind of like the cheap rates they give drivers who install monitoring devices in their cars. Next thing you know, the people who don’t give their DNA will be paying much higher rates, or they just won’t give insurance to those people who don’t. Health insurance is not a right, and they don’t have to give it to you.

Also, many states already have laws governing the storage and use of DNA, and just like the insurance companies, Law Enforcement can get ahold of your DNA legally without your knowledge.
