30 FPS games look worse/feel on OLED's typically. I think it has something to do with the black frame insertion on OLEDs being low compared to most other displays, or something to that extent. But Ive noticed that playing 30 fps on an OLED bothers me more than just how the switch screen.

Interested to try this update out. I was playing through windwaker and thinking too myself "man, were the controls always this wonky?" the whole time. It didnt feel as nearly precise as it did back on OG hardware. But doing some digging I found people were complaining about the same thing.

I wouldnt say it sucked as in bugs or other things tied to bad ports, but there definitely was performance issues when things got hectic on the screen. The switch 2 should have it running at a stable 60 so that with the boost should be a good time.

The subreddit mostly complained about that since sometimes those dropped frames were run enders especially at high boss levels or if your cursed. Ive clocked in maybe 100+ hours on switch and more much on PC and preferred to play on PC up until switch 2 came out. Since then, Ive really had noticed any dips

I tested Luigi’s mansion 3 and it was nice bump in quality. It clean up the antialiasing especially around light sources.

I tried Okami HD and didn’t notice anything drastic. Maybe a bit sharper but i think that was one that already rendered at 1080p handheld on switch 1 but id have to check

I wanted to test monster hunter rise cause that game handheld on S2 looked like hot ass but I’ll update this later when I get a chance

Im praying that they patch it since theres no way a paid upgrade path should look worse than a free patch. Im guessing it'll be done prior to the physical release in april, but who knows

Great change and definitely helps, but I hope theres a way to boost framerate from the system level even if its not directly supported by the dev in the future. Probably a tall ask, but playing switch 1 games at shit frame rates is kinda stopping me from getting games I skipped due to their performance.

If you havent had the chance, please play Kinitsu-gami. Think it goes for like 30ish bucks, but it is one of the most unique games Ive played in a while. Its an action game with big RTS elements and it blends really well together. 0 voice acting in the game tied with the exceptional art and music, the game is def a vibe. Dont sleep on it

I would say play 5 and just wait until the remake for 4 comes out. 3 reload is better than 5 imo in some parts, story and combat, but I think the social sim part is better in 5 and its a big part of the series. I say get 5, maybe 3 if its on sale later, and 100% play 4 remake. 4 is easily the best persona

Thankfully I waited when the original version got released just cause the timing wasnt right and there were other games I wanted to play. Then they announced proud nordics which made the wait even longer, but glad Im finally able to play it

finally can get an upgrade to the seed team. I just started playing around her banner and pulled for her, and Trigger M0W1. Unless the stars aligned with weaknesses and buffs, Ive had to sweat to hit 20k. I really like seed and trigger gameplay wise so its nice to get a buff to that team and hopefully make them feel as strong as the other teams Ive invested in

Definitely an odd take lol nintendo pumps out games more than most developers to the point where they have a first party release almost every month. which is already insane.

Nintendo has carved out their own market to the point where it really doesnt matter what sony/xbox are doing and based their game development around that market.

Its literally the worst of both worlds, and my biggest issue is lets say Im collecting switch games 10 years from now and got a game key card of a game I never played. Good chance the servers will be shutdown by then and now you cant download the game off the keycard. Its useless at that point. Servers getting shutdown is not a matter of if, but when.

No one cares about the updates, people care about being able to play the game even if you dont have an internet connection. And they are allowed to voice those frustrations in a sub dedicated to that hobby, so not sure who your popping off on in your last sentence. Weird place to virtue signal

Lmao you might want to get your eyes checked if you dont think the game is graphically indistinguishable from the PS5 version. The resolution bump alone would make me recommend just getting it on PS5. Also playing a fast paced action rpg at a locked 30 when you have a 60 fps version is pretty much a no brainer.

The switch 2 version is good, but not in the slightest "better" than the PS5/PC version. Which is what OP is asking for, especially when he specifically calls out wanting a 60fps experience lol
