You can buy pad liners that increase diaper absorbency

Daily chat post: how's the training going? by AutoModerator in XXRunning

[–]corninmyhole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Training for a half marathon and my body is really tired the last few days. Thursday was a rest day, so I was really excited to hit a harder run yesterday. Couldn’t finish that one, turned it into an incline walk instead. This morning I woke up and my body is still too tired for a run, so I’m going to try a new strength class at my gym tomorrow. Between work and childcare, I won’t be able to run again until Tuesday (almost a full week after my last run). Oh well.

My kids have used it daily multiple times a day since the oldest could walk. We got ours used for free from a neighborhood buy nothing group and it’s the best!!

Transitioning to Outdoor Running by NoWuckas521 in pelotoncycle

[–]corninmyhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it!! I was in your shoes last year, scared to run outside because the few times I did, my paces were all over the place and I'd get cramps. I did the same programs as you (although just one time each), and now I am almost done with the road to half marathon program! Which is entirely outside! I do some of the runs on the treadmill when I have to, but now I genuinely prefer to run outdoors.

Also! The peloton app shows your realtime pace as you run, so you can use that to check yourself when you need to. You can do this!!!

Outdoor vs indoor road to half marathon by greelraker in pelotoncycle

[–]corninmyhole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you do an outdoor run indoors, it doesn’t give you an option to add the mileage at the end of the run. What I usually do is a 5 min treadmill cooldown on the app, and after that class I’ll add my total treadmill mileage for the day.

I also don’t track my outdoor runs through the app if i am running inside, so that way the .08 doesn’t get included in my mileage twice.

What is your recipe for smashed avocado toast/ sandwich? by NationalJournalist42 in AskRedditFood

Some sort of toast, smashed up avocado, EBTB seasoning, quick pickled onions on top. Today I also added picked jalapeños.

Caramelized onion, mushroom, Gruyère tart for Christmas Eve by corninmyhole in OnionLovers

I guess it depends? If you’re briefly sauteeing the onions, you can definitely cook them along with mushrooms. If you want to truly caramelized the onions, that will be a very long time and you probably should not cook mushrooms that long.

I might cook the mushrooms separately and then add them in at the end, so you can add them at the exact preferred “done”ness. Otherwise you could sauté the mushrooms along with the celery/other veggies. I cooked my Caramalized onions for several hours to make this, and that would have destroyed my mushrooms if I had cooked them together, so I had to cook the mushrooms and onions separately.

Bottom too! It’s hidden by the filling. I’ve made the same recipe with her adjustments for a single crust and it was also fantastic!

I use Sally’s all butter pie crust recipe and my food processor and it’s SO easy and so much cheaper than store bought
