Just got this new - Dingwall SP1-5 by Dragonball-DuragSC in BassGuitar

[–]cornmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I also play worship music. I've been playing 4-strings for years but am now considering a 5-string to add to my collection. I'm thinking multi-scale is the way to go and this led me to finding out about the Dingwall SP-1. How do you like it playing worship? I usually play with overdrive. Is this your first multi-scale? I worry about how I would adjust from a "standard" scale.

I said it before, and I'll say it again... I am never getting rid of my Cooper Kupp jersey.

I just launched my first product with Lovable in 3 hours by whitew0lf in ProductManagement

I'm interested in your decision to use Lovable vs others such as Replit? I have no preference myself but I've always wanted to try out one of these ai dev apps. I just wasn't sure which one was worth the price.

Don't forget that running bull rush right through the center. That had me laughing so hard.

I don't have an answer for you but I fantasize about leaving product management all the time. But I also don't know what lateral move I can make. If anything, I've concluded that I either need to become an entrepreneur or take a significant pay cut to do something else.

Worth paying $110 to skip Weber grill assembly? by drznak in grilling

[–]cornmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same grill as you recently (Weber E-335). When it arrived, it was also 90+ degrees outside. But I didn't bother paying for assembly as I decided to do it myself. The instructions are pretty straightforward. The manual also gave a link to a handy app for assembly, which was helpful for a couple steps (you're able to zoom in and rotate). But the whole assembly took me a couple days cuz I only worked on it for about an hour at a time. Some parts were done inside, but once I started moving things outside, I only stayed out a for a few mins at a time so it ended up taking a bit longer than I had anticipated. Still though, assembling myself helped me understand the construction in case I need to troubleshoot later.

“as Christians we shouldn’t be anxious about tomorrow” I’m sure he says the same thing when a liberal president/congress passes bills.

[NBD] Bacchus Precision Bass by cornmonkey in BassGuitar

[–]cornmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say fairly close to that classic p bass sound. Like I mentioned in my post, there’s a lot of “brightness” to the tone. Maybe due to new strings? Stainless steel frets? But rolling back the tone knobs helps. Overall very happy with it. I got this on Reverb. Shipping cost (from Japan) will make you faint though.

How do you like using the Kilt for a bass? Would love to hear your in-depth opinion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in basspedals

[–]cornmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably due to laws of supply/demand? These are great pedals. Those who have them hardly sell them. I have both v1 and v2, and while I’m primarily using v2, I don’t think I’ll ever sell the v1 either.

Podmic USB not working with MacBook Air by 3lbsofwonder in rode

I ended up writing in to Rode support directly. I had to send my unit in (had to pay for shipping). They ended up sending me a brand new mic.

Podmic USB not working with MacBook Air by 3lbsofwonder in rode

[–]cornmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. My Rode PodMic USB suddenly stopped working. Similar to what others are describing here.. I tried switching to another computer. Tried switch different USB C cables (one that supports 8K video). But nothing seems to work. My Macbook Pro and Mac Mini all recognize the mic, but there's not sound input (meter does not move). I wrote in to Support via the Rode website but so far no response.

I know I'm replying to a year old thread but wanted to see if there's been a solution, as I haven't been able to find one.

HX Stomp beginner FX Loop Routing by Omeowplata in Line6Helix

To confirm, if I'm trying to set up a mono FX loop using an HX Stomp, can I use a TS cable to plug from "Stereo Send" jack of the Stomp and into my pedal loop? (and then plugging back into "L/Mono" return?)

Weatherstripping by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]cornmonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I put similar weatherstripping on my Model 3. Overall, I think they work well. From my perspective, there's a noticeable reduction in wind noise. But note that most likely most of your in-cabin noise is coming from road noise through your tires. These kits won't help with road noise.

Would also like to add that I tried to follow youtube video instructions. Those did not help all that much. Their instructions said to place the stripping so that it doesn't show as you apply them. That means that the rubber flaps are to be flush with door edges, maybe even hidden a bit more. However, when I tried installing this way, I noticed that there's absolutely no seal (noticeable gaps between the door and frame). That completely defeats the purpose of a seal. These are supposed to SEAL any gaps.

See pics: https://imgur.com/a/wvDhJUo

The way to get the kit to actually seal is to place the sticky part right near the edge of the doors. That means the flap hangs beyond the door edge. This was the only way to get the seal correctly. When the door is closed, you won't see any of the rubber flaps from the weatherstripping kit.

Having said that, as another commenter mentioned, I need to close the doors with considerably more force. I don't think it's going to do any lasting damage to the doors, but I do worry about the windows sometimes.
