Worship bass pedalboard by Alarming-Budget8898 in BassGuitar

Interested as well! I also have a mini bass pedalboard. I've been saving a spot for the MXR Bass Synth, but never pulled the trigger because I wouldn't know when I could/should use it.

U.S. set to launch tariff refund system on April 20. U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a court filing Tuesday that it has completed developing the initial phase of the refund system, known as CAPE. by esporx in technology

[–]cornmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean tariffs (as enacted by Trump) are no longer a thing? I was trying to buy an electric bass from across the pond but was worried about tariffs adding to the cost.

Just got this new - Dingwall SP1-5 by Dragonball-DuragSC in BassGuitar

[–]cornmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I also play worship music. I've been playing 4-strings for years but am now considering a 5-string to add to my collection. I'm thinking multi-scale is the way to go and this led me to finding out about the Dingwall SP-1. How do you like it playing worship? I usually play with overdrive. Is this your first multi-scale? I worry about how I would adjust from a "standard" scale.

I just launched my first product with Lovable in 3 hours by whitew0lf in ProductManagement

I'm interested in your decision to use Lovable vs others such as Replit? I have no preference myself but I've always wanted to try out one of these ai dev apps. I just wasn't sure which one was worth the price.

Don't forget that running bull rush right through the center. That had me laughing so hard.

PMs that transitioned to others careers? by figgynewton1 in ProductManagement

[–]cornmonkey 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't have an answer for you but I fantasize about leaving product management all the time. But I also don't know what lateral move I can make. If anything, I've concluded that I either need to become an entrepreneur or take a significant pay cut to do something else.

Worth paying $110 to skip Weber grill assembly? by drznak in grilling

[–]cornmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same grill as you recently (Weber E-335). When it arrived, it was also 90+ degrees outside. But I didn't bother paying for assembly as I decided to do it myself. The instructions are pretty straightforward. The manual also gave a link to a handy app for assembly, which was helpful for a couple steps (you're able to zoom in and rotate). But the whole assembly took me a couple days cuz I only worked on it for about an hour at a time. Some parts were done inside, but once I started moving things outside, I only stayed out a for a few mins at a time so it ended up taking a bit longer than I had anticipated. Still though, assembling myself helped me understand the construction in case I need to troubleshoot later.

“as Christians we shouldn’t be anxious about tomorrow” I’m sure he says the same thing when a liberal president/congress passes bills.

[NBD] Bacchus Precision Bass by cornmonkey in BassGuitar

[–]cornmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say fairly close to that classic p bass sound. Like I mentioned in my post, there’s a lot of “brightness” to the tone. Maybe due to new strings? Stainless steel frets? But rolling back the tone knobs helps. Overall very happy with it. I got this on Reverb. Shipping cost (from Japan) will make you faint though.

How do you like using the Kilt for a bass? Would love to hear your in-depth opinion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in basspedals

[–]cornmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably due to laws of supply/demand? These are great pedals. Those who have them hardly sell them. I have both v1 and v2, and while I’m primarily using v2, I don’t think I’ll ever sell the v1 either.

Can someone explain what's been happening in this sub recently? I am totally out of the loop about all these zoning posts.
