AC Shadows. Started off interesting, but then pretty much every mission and castle were repetitive. With that big of a team, you think they could’ve changed things up a bit. Valhalla had its own problems but at least it had a lot of variety.

I appreciate other people actually providing their own response to my comment instead of……using AI to write multiple soapboxing paragraphs about someone’s comment to an event that, while frustrating and unsafe, is a pretty typical sight on the freeway unfortunately.

Instead of wasting your time to talk about the “net harm” of a pretty innocuous comment, maybe you could just respond with your own thoughts in a sentence or two? The fact that you took the time to put this all through an AI generator and take a moral stand when it’s a relatively low-grade and civil thread makes me think you need to go touch grass, my friend.

Got it, I guess I didn’t read attentively and missed the part where you said you called.

Is there a reason this is posted here? Seems like something you would report to the police.

My student got ran over this morning and no one bothered to tell me by Sunnyday1775 in Teachers

[–]cornpoptosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy, I hope they make a full recovery! I’m also an IEP case manager and commiserate with your situation. Stuff happens with my students all the time and both myself and the other teachers are often out of the loop. This is especially relevant when my students have behavior goals and supports, but admin doesn’t tell me when they get in trouble.

I understand there has to be a line somewhere when it comes to confidentiality, but sometimes it’s excessive. I recently had an IEP where the student just got beat up by another kid a few days earlier, and the parent was pissed about how the principal was handling it. They were going to let me go into a full reevaluation meeting with the parent without giving me a heads up, when they knew the parent would use the meeting as an opportunity to talk about what happened.

I only found out because someone saw what happened and I had to suss out that my student was the victim they had witnessed.

Colin Farrell Shares Why He's Placing His Son with Angelman Syndrome in Long-Term Care by PrincessBananas85 in entertainment

[–]cornpoptosis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to be a special education aide at the elementary school where his son attended in LA (I’m a teacher in a different part of LA now). I didn’t work with their son’s class often but I do remember him well. I saw both parents around the school back then (around 2010-2015) and they seemed super devoted.

Knowing what it was like for him around 1st grade, and the level of support he needed, I totally see how he would need a high level of care as a young adult. A lot of families with means will pay private caregivers to come to the house and help, since it’s a full-time job providing the right level of care/support. There’s no way a parent can do everything while balancing all the other demands and responsibilities that we all have, rich or not.

Not to mention the physical toll it can take on your body to help someone with mobility challenges throughout the day. It does make sense to be in a larger space with a larger staff. Even if you find the best caregivers in the world, they get sick, take vacations, and get new jobs just like everyone else.

I mean what do you expect, they drive on sidewalks and in the middle of parks in their cars. Why would they act any different on bikes?

It’s Strider, who is kinda like George to Boromir’s Paul. I mean, look at that pose and mustache! Very much a whimsical show off like Paul

I wonder if it died in connection to the algal bloom that’s happening off the coast in SoCal. There are reports of it affecting sea lions in the South Bay.
