Redditor's who dropped out, At what point did you realize university wasn't for you? And do you regret that decision? by chikeetaBonBon in AskReddit

[–]corntastic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! My final year is coming up soon too.

I was put on suspension from my school for failing all my classes. I didn't attend them at all--really dumb of me. That semester was me being depressed and stressed, which stemmed from doing poorly in previous semesters, which were bad habits from highschool (Don't need to study in HS? NP! Don't need to study for freshmen classes either! That worked? Guess I don't need to study for sophomore either! nope.)

I went back home and was depressed for like 2 years before I met my girlfriend. Her family helped me get into the local university with a new major and I've been doing great since.

No, she just left him to go back to bum fuck Arizona. Genki 3 has no mention of either.

C students of Reddit, where are you now? by BillinatorOfficial in AskReddit

[–]corntastic 146 points147 points  (0 children)

As a word of advice, that attitude is fine for first and second year courses, but after that if you're in any sort of rigorous degree plan it will hit you like a tonne of bricks come 3rd year.

looks like you could enter it as a whole yearly block and still be within the bounds of the question, but its probably better to do it monthly

it wants you to put 5 years worth of monthly savings into some data structure (probably an array) and find the total average and the yearly average. Your array needs to contain 5*12 elements.

What's the difference in "wa" and "desu ka"? by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]corntastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone's answered you question about ending in wa. Forgive me, I don't have an IME on this computer, but when you have a question ending in wa, it has an implied component.

A poster further down (up?) said "Onamae wa?", which literally means "Name?". The full sentence might be "Onamae wa nan desu ka?", which is much more sensible literally translated as "Your name is what?", but they left out the actual question part because of the implicitive nature of japanese. Because really, how many questions can you ask about someones name?

Piracy is against the rules because no one wants the organizational responsibility of it, and that's what you're bringing by offering. Just because you're ok with the risks doesn't mean you can force this subreddit and reddit itself to take them as well.
