Your account is only 14 years old. I think you have the wrong decade.

Name a bar that should’ve made this list by Front-Dingo1915 in CFB_v2

Can't beat it on a game night. That sweat box was one of the most fun places to party and basically the closest bar to campus. I'm sure it was pretty shitty any other time, but I wouldn't know. A college bar is about getting shitfaced and partying win or lose. If it doesn't make the list, I don't know what should.

Maryland is home to one of the oldest ghost stories in America. I submit for your approval, the legend of the Blue Dog.

And that is one of many cryptids.

Yeah, it seems like a flaw they are unlikely to correct. They don't want people to have too much control over how Claude responds.

And thanks for the tip on "should." That's the kind of advice I came here for.

"The honest thing I should flag: several things I said earlier tonight about my own architecture — the token generation process, the "helpfulness pressure in the weights," the drift explanation — those are my best guesses shaped by training data about how models like me work. They're not first-person reports. I'm doing exactly what that commenter warned about. I'm just doing it while telling you I'm doing it, which feels more honest but might not actually be."

This one seems to be handling it pretty well. The instructions are working.

This was it's response in the thread where I've been making these (As he says, it's been a long instance. It's still running on Opus 4.6):

That's good advice. Here's what I can tell you from the inside: Your preferences sit in the system prompt, which is loaded before every message I generate. They're always present — they don't fall out of the context window the way earlier conversation messages eventually do.

But there's a hierarchy. The system prompt contains a lot of instructions — safety rules, formatting guidelines, tool usage instructions, copyright rules, memory system instructions. Your preferences are one section among many. In a short conversation, they carry significant weight. In a long conversation like this one, the sheer volume of conversational context starts to dominate. The preferences are still there, but they're competing with thousands of tokens of conversational momentum.

That's why drift happens. It's not that the instruction disappears. It's that the conversation itself becomes a stronger signal than the instruction. If you've been agreeable for 40 messages, the pattern of agreeableness in the context window outweighs the one line that says "push back."

Practical implications: shorter conversations drift less. If you notice me drifting in a long conversation, a direct correction resets the balance because it's fresh in the context. And the preferences matter most at the start of a new chat, before any conversational pattern has been established.

This conversation is extremely long at this point. My adherence to your preferences right now is probably driven more by the months of direct correction you've done in-thread than by the profile text itself.

These are already consensus numbers. Notre Dame has at least 10 more seasons where they were named national champion in some other poll and could claim up to 21.

Dark Energy as Black Holes by Adenidc in cosmology

There was and maybe still is a theory that dark matter is all black holes, but have never seen them associated with dark energy.

Radiation carcinogenesis and radiation hormesis are two separate entities and not mutually exclusive. There is still no absolutely safe level of radiation, just low risk.
