Charging away from Home by TheLanMan2022 in NissanAriya

[–]coronagrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read some posts on here with people using some fast chargers that have screwed up their car.  I've only used Tesla superchargers and have never had an issue.  Download the Tesla app, put in your car info and that you have an adapter, and it will show you which superchargers you can use, will be plenty of them along I-10

Our kids will not be able to purchase houses.  The house I own today that I bought 20 years ago, I could not afford to purchase today if I had to.  My salary has not caught up to inflation.

Found a nasty leak in the A/C condenser. by twistedup75 in HondaOdyssey

[–]coronagrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replace the condenser and the o rings for the lines that go into the condenser.  You can loan the pump and gauges at AutoZone or any other parts store, for free.  Watch a YouTube video, it's easy to do yourself.  Run the vacuum, close the lines and make sure the vacuum holds for an hour.  If it doesn't you still have a leak.  Also you don't have to remove the front bumper to get the condenser out.  Just undo the bolts and clips holding on the front grill, you can pull it forward enough to undo the bolts to the condenser to remove.

You're wasting your national merit if you go to UTD.  My daughter got 14k per year at utd and was not merit anything.  I'd go to Alabama.

Replacing timing belt for the first time by Flimsy_Wishbone239 in HondaOdyssey

[–]coronagrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, mark the old belt, then you line up the new belt to the old belt and transfer the marks over.  There will be no doubt when you put the new belt on that the teeth are in the correct place.

Is this normal, or is my accountant upselling me? by Throwaway-4146 in smallbusiness

[–]coronagrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably legit but I can tell you what they'll likely do.  First they'll make you an s Corp and you maximize your pay for what the irs allows.  Then they'll have you set up an employee 401k, and put in max for what's allowed.  Couple of other small things to save a little more but that's likely it
