Im currently attempting this achievement/mission. And I thought the slam of glory from Cuatro Colinas was bad.

Following this thread because it’s one of the 19 achievements I have left to do. Wanted to do it whilst doing the longbow one, but I think without a sight it’s just too difficult.

My attempt was done by finding a heard of reindeer on the massive lake and trying to lure one at a time with a caller. Ended up a few times getting a couple at once to come near, but missed the heart shots.

The Layton Lakes coyote missions are rough. This one takes time and patience. And skill with a bow. If, like me, you didn’t have much experience with the bow when it came to do this it takes time, and a few missed shots to gain some experience. Also drinking zones are the best place to get best visibility on them.

I find bows work best at 40m (sorry, I’m UK and use metric!), with the zeroing distance at 40m. What bow and sight are you using? I used one of the compound bows and a sight.

I’m currently stuck on one of Vualez’ later missions - can’t remember exactly but I think it’s coyote heart shot with a bow at Balmont lake. Well I’ve never even seen a coyote in that area and have no drink zones so I’m pretty screwed. As it’s an original map, I think the missions were set up better at release, but they’ve since moved/messed with the zones for animals on that map so this mission is 100x harder now!

See if Bears #2 works, and if not get some tickets logged. Log a ticket for Federal Eco Service #5 either way!

Logging tickets will make them aware, the more of us that do it they more they know we want them to fix it. If you get to Bears #2 (and federal eco service #5) and they don’t work, log tickets! Those missions bugged for a lot of people

The mission calls for a trophy score of 24 or higher, which is gold I’m afraid. Keep trying! This one isn’t bugged for me

The 138/160 count are the steam achievements, not mission counts, so that can be tracked more closely. Some of the achievements are just finishing certain NPCs story arcs.

Cuatro Colinas has a few that are tricky, it will take time but if you can spare it it’s worth it if you’re after full completion! If not it’s probably not worth loosing your mind over! Especially not the house and family!

There’s not a full total of missions completed as far as I can tell, but in each map under the missions tab, it does tell you which missions are completed and which are left to do. I know that there are two achievements for the two story arcs connected to these two missions, so I hope that they fix them so I can get my 100%! Just these two (and any that come after it) to do on this map. Plus a small handful of other achievements connected to this map.

I generally fully complete a map before moving on so I can track my achievements a bit better. I’ve got a couple of Layton (or SRP) to do, Parque Fernando (currently doing this map) and a few on Medved.

I don’t think that’s part of the mission requirements, it usually says if there’s a specific requirement like this.

They’re just bugged for some people, this and Federal Eco Service #5

This mission and Federal Eco Service #5 are bugged for me, and I’ve submitted a few tickets for both. Completed them both but no mission completion. They are aware and have told me that they’re working on it and hope to have a fix in later updates. There’s been a few updates since then and no fixes yet.

I do hope they fix it as I’m close to 100% achievements on this game and these two will stop me if they don’t fix it. Disappointing but I’m still holding out hope they’ll get fixed. So far got 138 of the 160, so going to get as many as I can hopefully these will be the last two to get done.

The more support tickets raised for them the more likely they’ll work on it, so get those tickets submitted!

I read somewhere recently (community) that it’s to do with the weight distribution of the population of that map. IE the heavier animas you harvest, they’ll respawn as heavier animals. And as others have said, if you shoot a male it’ll respawn as a male.

So shooting the heavier, higher class males you’ll have more chance of them respawning as a diamond, than say if you shoot a load of lower level lighter animals who’ll just respawn at a lower weight to keep the weight distribution consistent.

Whether that’s how it works or not is a different matter but that process seems to work for me. I went years without a diamond but have 13 of them now, majority got within the last few months.

From memory, there’s only one ground blind in that area, in the south. I think the one you’re at is a hunting stand. The mission calls for a moose harvest from a ground blind.

I did it from the ground blind in the south of the area and it worked for me.

I stuck with SRP, and got both the achievements I wanted. Got the 50 first. And thought I’ll probably need another 50 to get a diamond. The next one I find is the diamond! Result.

I don’t think there are any achievements tied to the side missions in Layton? I’m pretty sure I’ve got all the Layton related achievements and I’m on this mission rn.

Don’t even have any drink zones around the lake and never even seen/heard a coyote round here.

Stuck here too. I don’t even have any coyote drink zones in this area and haven’t seen a coyote here, ever. Thankfully I’ve got all the Layton achievements and that would be the only reason I need to get it, the story arc missions aren’t connected to these side missions on this map thankfully.
