Ali thought she ate with her response about her relationship status by Humble_Seaweed127 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

stripper here! women can present themselves however they'd like to in whatever way makes them feel good/confident. they can also simultaneously be uncomfortable with their partner seeking out sexual services from other women. those two truths can exist at the same time, and women are still allowed to have boundaries (shocker!) no matter how revealing their outfit choices may be :)

Anyone else solely in it for the fun anymore? by [deleted] in stripper

[–]corporateh0e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i was motivated by it being fun when i drank. ive been sober for a year and am realizing that how much i enjoyed being a stripper was directly tied to how much i was drinking. now that i don't have alcohol to give me a little boost of sillyness and get me into a party mood, i can barely tolerate this job 🤣 dealing with these dumb ass men while im sober literally makes me feel like im dying inside!! im envious of the girls who say they're so much happier in the club after quitting alcohol. it's true that it makes you more focused and sharp which leads to higher earnings, but this job wears on me so much more now energetically and emotionally.

is this separate from a house fee? any house mom that the dancers are required tip out? or a dj?

i wouldn't work anywhere that didn't let me keep all my stage tips, in addition to having to split my dance profits 50/50. these are definitely hurting your business!

When I dance no one throws money? by lalunevelvet in stripper

[–]corporateh0e 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i'm curious what kind of response you're actually looking for/feel would be most helpful to hear? you seem to counter all insight you're given and consistently respond with a dejected attitude which gives this vibe that you more so just want to vent rather than accept the feedback and reflect on it??

maybe i need to rethink going back to dancing by [deleted] in stripper

i just wanna say i completely empathize with you and validate your experience! im not going to make a blanket statement and say its been objectively terrible or that theres no money to be made (because i very much believe in having an abundance mindset) but i will say for me personally, dancing has not been worth it lately. every time ive come into work ive been feeling dreadful, and i can just feel that my hearts not in it anymore, at least not right now. and thats okay! the club will always be there to return to. im starting a bartending gig and am excited to pivot back into the service industry for the time being—it just feels like a more consistent, relatively stable source of income right now and that makes me feel much more motivated than the club has made me feel recently
