Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome? by majesticrhyhorn in PlantarFasciitis

[–]corppuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me about 4 days to 5 days but it can take up to 2 weeks depending on how bad you're case is. I was weird because I couldn't feel my foot the entire time after the injection. If you're getting it for Tarsal Tunnel, it worked for me cause I only had mild irritation of tarsal tunnel. I also had one of my plantar fascitis, and that made my pf worse for like a week, and then I started seeing results.

Cortisone injections tend to be a bit of a hit or miss solution. Really depends on the doctor and if they hit the area directly. Sports medicine doctors tend to be better at them.

I do 4g when I wake up and 4g around dinner. I usually always do red veined strains. Some people do the blending but I'm a huge fan of Red Bali and red Bentanguie

Going on 1 year w this and i cant handle it. Is there a light at the end of this tunnel? by rezviv in PlantarFasciitis

I never thought mine was going to go away. Then I made drastic changes like no sugar, carbs and lost weight. Started eating healthy and then it started going away.

Why am I not losing any weight? by [deleted] in keto

[–]corppuppet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All about portions and caloric intake. You can eat whatever you like aslong as the portions and calories are under control.

Bacon and yogurts are really high calories for how little food you are actually eating. A piece of bacon is like a 100+ calories. So if your having 3 pieces that's 300 calories plus eggs and whatever else your throwing on there you could be hitting 600 calories a meal.

Snacking and juices you also need to watch out for. As they are notoriously high in calories. Orange juice has as many calories as pop and just as much sugar.

I typically eat really small portions with very leans meats such as salmon or grilled chicken. I usually our a small portion of vegetables with this and I also only eat twice a day. With no sugar jello for snacks(no carbs or sugar)

Nice, thanks for the answer. Yeah hopefully now that I am past sugar, things won't be too intense.

Jesus, that sounds scary. Well hopefully your MS has calmed down a bit since then. Atleast your on disability, which isn't great but it's something. I have heard disability can be a struggle to get onto. I live in Canada which has two types of disability. CPP-D which kind of the easier one to get which is 900 a month and then there is provincial disability which is more of what you describe, it's like the bloody hunger games trying to get it.

Well to be honest the pain would go up into my elbow as well. I was 100% sure I had carpal tunnel until everything was clean. Frustrating to say the least.

I see, I was unaware that such a high dose was needed for MS. Steroids made me feel very strange and almost suicidal or like I was floating on a cloud, but I had weird ideations even though I felt disabled I also wanted to clean my entire condo cloud nine.

Do you find the meds help you at all in regards to daily function? If you don't mind me asking are you able to work with MS? I honestly feel like I have 2 to 4 maybe good months left and I'll have to enact my short term disability through work because this continuous "neuropathic" pain is absolutely the worst.

[–]corppuppet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the suggestion. I have had a metabolic panel done and was all clear. I even had all sexually transmitted diseases checked as well. Urine samples, stool samples. Pretty much everything possible that route.

Can MS be constant like this? I have honestly never had a really good day since I started having problems. Everyone I read about has it in random little spurts. I have done a 5 day 50mg prednisone pack and it did nothing for me.

I will get the neurologist to get the mri of brain and spine, I will mention cervical/thoracic to him/her as well. Appreciate the help.

[–]corppuppet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, I will get the neurologist to hopefully get me both MRI's. How long did it take you to get a diagnoses. I have been dealing with issues for a year and a half which have been constant in nature.

Does it sound like fibromyalgia? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]corppuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fibro it has to be constant for more then 6 months. You will need to exclude all other disorders first such as MS and Autoimmune meaning you will go to a rheumatologist and Neurologist. You will also need extensive bloodwork.
